(UPDATED) 9/11 and the NEW WORLD ORDER: MEANS, MOTIVE, and OPPORTUNITY (in Quotes) - Part I
"As nightfall does not come all at once, neither does oppression. In both instances, there is a twilight when everything remains seemingly unchanged. And it is in such twilight that we all must be most aware of change in the air -- however slight -- lest we become unwitting victims of the darkness." Justice William O. Douglas, The Douglas Letters : Selections from the Private Papers of (1987)
"The Pearl Harbor of the 21st century took place today." President George W. Bush, in his daily diary, September 11, 2001
(This "updated" version is reordered and contains many new quotes. It is better than the original.) (This is Part I. Part II to follow.)
Reading the following quotes as a group paints a big picture of how the world really works. I have simply gathered quotes from prominent people, current and past, and organized them to clearly show the three basic elements -- means, motive, and opportunity -- of a world conspiracy. Please don't balk at the word "conspiracy"; conspiracies happen all of the time.
When I refer to a conspiracy I am referring to a conspiracy for a New World Order / One World Government (NWO/OWG). 9/11 is included as one of the means used in carrying out the objectives. Keep 9/11 in mind as you read through the quotes and consider the possibility (it's really a certainty) that 9/11 was a false flag attack. A false flag attack is when you attack yourself and blame it on others for nefarious purposes. Understand that false flag attacks are common throughout history; as are conspiracies.
If you believe that the official story regarding 9/11 -- "Muslims did it" -- is true because you find it impossible to believe that "insiders" would have carried out such a horrific attack, please read the quotes with an open mind. It is easy to get stuck on 'who would do such a thing, how could they do it, why would they do it, and if it really was a false flag attack, why doesn't the media investigate and expose it?' I believe reading the quotes will show how those questions can be answered.
I think you will reconsider the false flag scenario after reading what ex-Presidents, Senators, Congressmen, CIA Directors, Secretaries of State, Generals, Supreme Court Justices, media representatives, past dictators and others have said. I think you'll see how there really was the means, the motive, and the opportunity to attack our country and blame it on someone else. If not, maybe you think President Dwight D. Eisenhower was only kidding when he said before the nation, ".... we must guard against the acquisition of unwarranted influence, whether sought or unsought, by the military-industrial complex. The potential for the DISASTROUS rise of misplaced power exists and WILL PERSIST(!)."
(Note: This article is best read from a printed copy; and printing it out also serves a purpose: IT SPEAKS FOR ITSELF! And since it does speak (in the words of others) for itself, having a hard copy to leave on coffee tables or take to work, etc., is an easy way to educate people.)
In a general summary, the quotes will tell you that there exists the MEANS of using TERROR (THINK 9/11), PROPAGANDA, MEDIA CONTROL, and MONEY for the MOTIVE of creating a NEW WORLD ORDER / ONE WORLD GOVERNMENT, by those with the OPPORTUNITY in the form of an INVISIBLE, SHADOWY, BEHIND-THE-SCENES, SECRET GOVERNMENT/CONSPIRACY.
"There exists a shadowy government with its own Air Force, its own Navy, its own fundraising mechanism, and the ability to pursue its own ideas of national interest, free from all checks and balances, and free from the law itself." -- Senator Daniel K. Inouye at the Iran Contra Hearings, 1987
----------------------(Note: some of the quotes pertain to more than one element.)----------------------

"Once a government is committed to the principle of silencing the voice of opposition, it has only one way to go, and that is down the path of increasingly repressive measures, until it becomes a source of terror to all its citizens and creates a country where everyone lives in fear." - President Harry S. Truman. Aug 8, 1950
"The easiest way to gain control of the population is to carry out acts of terror. The public will clamor for such laws if the personal security is threatened." - Joseph Stalin
The public supported America's engagement in World War II largely because of the shock effect of the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor." - Zbigniew Brzezinski, in
The Grand Chessboard, 1997

"The Pearl Harbor of the 21st century took place today." President George W. Bush on the evening of 9/11, in his daily diary -- The Washington Post
"As America becomes an increasingly multicultural society, it may find it more difficult to fashion a consensus on foreign policy issues, except in the circumstances of a truly massive and widely perceived direct external threat." - Zbigniew Brzezinski in the The Grand Chessboard, 1997
"The enemies who attacked us six years ago want to strike our country again; and next time they hope to kill Americans on a scale that will make 9/11 pale by comparison." George W. Bush, Veteran's Day, 2007. CBS News

U.S. Representative Henry Gonzalez, Interview, August 29, 1994
"If Tyranny and Oppression come to this land, it will be in the guise of fighting a foreign enemy."----James Madison (likely paraphrased)
"Today, America would be outraged if U.N. troops entered Los Angeles to restore order. Tomorrow they will be grateful! This is especially true if they were told that there were an outside threat from beyond, whether real or promulgated, that threatened our very existence. It is then that all peoples of the world will plead to deliver them from this evil. The one thing every man fears is the unknown. When presented with this scenario, individual rights will be willingly relinquished for the guarantee of their well-being granted to them by the World Government." - Henry Kissinger, Bilderberg Conference in Evians, France, May 21,1992 -- (claimed to have been covertly recorded by a Swiss Diplomat in attendance.) Referencing the 1992 riots in L. A. and quoted in the book "Web of Debt" by Ellen Hodgson Brown
Our government has kept us in a perpetual state of fear -- kept us in a continuous stampede of patriotic fervor -- with the cry of grave national emergency. Always there has been some terrible evil at home or some monstrous foreign power that was going to gobble us up if we did not blindly rally behind it by furnishing the exorbitant funds demanded. Yet, in retrospect, these disasters seem never to have happened, seem never to have been quite real." A Soldier Speaks: Public Papers and Speeches of General of the Army Douglas MacArthur (1965)
"In total, during the first eighty-eight years of this century, almost 170 million men, women, and children have been shot, beaten, tortured, knifed, burned, starved, frozen, crushed, or worked to death; buried alive, drowned, hung, bombed, or killed in any other of the myriad ways governments have inflicted death on unarmed, helpless citizens and foreigners. The dead could conceivably be nearly 360 million people. It is as though our species has been devastated by a modern Black Plague. And indeed it has, but a plague of Power, not of germs."
Dr. R. J. Rummel, Death by Government. P 9.
"The individual is handicapped by coming face to face with a conspiracy so monstrous he cannot believe it exists." -- J. Edgar Hoover, Elks magazine, Aug 1956
It is in war that the State really comes into its own: swelling in power, in number, in pride, in absolute dominion over the economy and the society. Society becomes a herd, seeking to kill its alleged enemies, rooting out and suppressing all dissent from the official war effort, happily betraying truth for the supposed public interest. Society becomes an armed camp, with the values and the morale . . . . of an "army on the march." -- Murray N. Rothbard, article "War, Peace, and the State," The Standard, April 1963
"I consider it completely unimportant who in the party will vote, or how; but what is extraordinarily important is this--who will count the votes, and how." -- Josef Stalin, 1923, as quoted in "The Memoirs of Stalin's Former Secretary" by Boris Bazhanov (More commonly paraphrased, "its not who votes that counts, its who counts the votes")

"We're a flawed species. The best in us shows up in our desire to make our government "of the people, by the people and for, the people." The worst in us shows up when, no matter what the system, somebody figures out how to cheat." Chapter 4, "A brief History of Vote-Rigging." Bev Harris, Black Box Voting, 2004.
".... computer systems can be no more trusted to provide their own verification than can a fox guarding the hen house." Computer Science Professor, Bryn Mawr College in Pennsylvania

"Each measure is passed without great trouble or violent public opposition because the average man does not see at the time, how it can possibly affect his own existence - the only thing he is really interested in. "The Technocratic Age is slowly designing an every day more controlled society. The society will be dominated by an elite of persons free from traditional values who will have no doubt in fulfilling their objectives by means of purged techniques with which they will influence the behavior of people and will control and watch the society in all details". "... it will become possible to exert a practically permanent watch on each citizen of the world". - Zbigniew Brzezinski in his book, "Between Two Ages -- America's Role in the Technetronic Era"
"The end goal is to get everybody (micro)chipped, to control the whole society, to have the bankers and the elite people control the world." -Nick Rockefeller, from Aaron Russo interview, Jan 29, 2007
I. b. How - Media / Propaganda
"The CIA owns everyone of any significance in the major media." William Colby, former director of the CIA (1973-1976). As quoted in "Derailing Democracy: The America the Media Don't Want You to See (2000)", by Dave McGowan
When asked in a 1976 interview whether the CIA had ever told its media agents what to write, William Colby replied, "Oh, sure, all the time." "Understanding the Global News" by Jaap van Ginneken, p 97.
"There is no such thing, at this date of the world's history, in America, as an independent press. You know it and I know it. There is not one of you who dares to write your honest opinions, and if you did, you know beforehand that it would never appear in print. I am paid weekly for keeping my honest opinion out of the paper I am connected with. Others of you are paid similar weekly salaries for similar things, and any of you who would be so foolish as to write honest opinions would be out on the streets looking for another job. If I allowed my honest opinions to appear in one issue of my paper, before twenty-four hours my occupation would be gone. The business of the journalist is to destroy the truth; to lie outright; to pervert; to vilify; to fawn at the feet of mammon, and to sell his country and his race for his daily bread. You know it and I know it, and what folly is this toasting an independent press? We are the tools and vassals of rich men behind the scenes. We are the jumping jacks, they pull the strings and we dance. Our talents, our possibilities, and our lives are all the property of other men. We are intellectual prostitutes." John Swinton, a toast before the New York Press Club in 1953. Called by his peers "The Dean of his Profession", was the former Chief of Staff for the New York Times.
"We are grateful to the Washington Post, the New York Times, Time magazine and other great publications whose directors have attended our meetings and respected the promises of discretion for almost forty years. It would have been impossible for us to develop our plan for the WORLD if we had been subject to the bright lights of publicity during those years. But, the world is now more sophisticated and prepared to march towards a world-government. The supranational sovereignty of an intellectual elite and world bankers is surely preferable to the National auto determination practiced in past centuries"--David Rockefeller in an address to a Trilateral Commission meeting in June of 1991
"We in the press like to say we're honest brokers of information and it's just not true. The press does have an agenda."
Bernard Goldberg, as quoted by Harry Stein in the June 13-19, 1992 TV Guide.
"In March, 1915, the J.P. Morgan interests, the steel, shipbuilding, and powder interest, and their subsidiary organizations, got together 12 men high up in the newspaper world and employed them to select the most influential newspapers in the United States and sufficient number of them to control generally the policy of the daily press....They found it was only necessary to purchase the control of 25 of the greatest papers. "An agreement was reached; the policy of the papers was bought, to be paid for by the month; an editor was furnished for each paper to properly supervise and edit information regarding the questions of preparedness, militarism, financial policies, and other things of national and international nature considered vital to the interests of the purchasers." - U.S. Congressman Oscar Callaway, THE CONGRESSIONAL RECORD FEBRUARY 9, 1917 - PAGE 2947 & PAGE 2948.
"Instead of three competing television networks called NBC, CBS, and ABC, what we really have is the Rockefeller Broadcasting Company, the Rockefeller Broadcasting System, and the Rockefeller Broadcasting Consortium." -Gary Allen, "The Rockefeller File," 1976
"We know in the not too distant future, a half dozen corporations are going to control the media. We took this step (merger) to ensure we were one of them"--Time Warner spokesperson.
"There's really five companies that control 90 percent of what we read, see and hear." - Ted Turner founder of CNN, Reuters, April 25, 2003
"I know the secret of making the average American believe anything I want him to. Just let me control television." - Hal Becker, media ''expert'' and management consultant, the Futures Group think tank, in an interview in 1981
"The world you believe exists, does not exist. We live in a form of The Matrix, not unlike the world portrayed in (the) movie. .... high government officials and international bankers are the elite who control all you see and hear as did the aliens portrayed in the movie. The news is a farce. As is the case with the financial institutions which are concentrated in the hands of the few, long ago the media was bought and paid for, ..... What you read and what you see on a daily basis is largely manufactured. You are being lied to, each and every day." - Christopher Mark, "Grand Deception: The Theft of America and the World," Part I
"Now it will be easy to carry on the fight, for we can call on all the resources of the State. Radio and press are at our disposal. We shall stage a masterpiece of propaganda." - Reich Propaganda Minister Joseph Goebbels, in in his diary, February 3, 1933
" Think of the press as a great keyboard on which the government can play." - Joseph Goebbels, Time Magazine, Mar 27,1933
"Let us never tolerate outrageous conspiracy theories concerning the attacks of September the 11th; malicious lies that attempt to shift the blame away from the terrorists, themselves, away from the guilty. To inflame ethnic hatred is to advance the cause of terror." November 10, 2001, Remarks by the President
To United Nations General Assembly
"It is the absolute right of the State to supervise the formation of public opinion." -- Joseph Goebbels, Speech Oct, 1933
"He who controls the medium controls the message. He who controls the message controls the masses." -- Paul Joseph Goebbels, Germany's Propaganda Minister
"Who controls the past controls the future, who controls the present controls the past." 1984, George Orwell, p. 309.
"The first rule of being a great propaganda system and why our system is vastly superior to anything in the old soviet Union is that people don't think they are being subject to propaganda . . . people don't think that . . . they are much easier to propagandize . . . and that's the genius of our media system. It's a system of ideology, of control, compared to an authoritarian system." - Media Critic Robert Machezny, quoted 12-9-04 on NPR's "Justice Talking"
"The biggest lesson I learned from Vietnam is not to trust [our own] government statements -- I had no idea until then that you could not rely on [them]." --James W. Fulbright (1905-1995), Recalling his years as chairman of US Senate Foreign Relations Committee during Vietnam War, NY Times 30 Apr 85
"By the skillful and sustained use of propaganda, one can make a people see even heaven as hell or an extremely wretched life as paradise." "Make the lie big, make it simple, keep saying it, and eventually they will believe it." "What good fortune for governments that the people do not think." -- Adolf Hitler, Mein Kampf
"Many people would sooner die than think. In fact they do." -- Bertrand Russell, "The ABC of Reality"
"The lie can be maintained only for such time as the State can shield the people from the political, economic and/or military consequences of the lie. It thus becomes vitally important for the State to use all of its powers to repress dissent, for the truth is the mortal enemy of the lie, and thus by extension, the truth is the greatest enemy of the State.""We have made the Reich by propaganda." -- Joseph Goebbels, appointed Germany's Propaganda Minister in the 1930's
"The most brilliant propagandist technique will yield no success unless one fundamental principle is borne in mind constantly: It must confine itself to a few points and repeat them over and over." Adolf Hitler, Mein Kampf
"See, in my line of work you got to keep repeating things over and over and over again for the truth to sink in, to kind of catapult the propaganda." (applause) -- George W. Bush, Greece Athena Middle School, May 24, 2005:
". . . . in the big lie there is always a certain force of credibility; because the broad masses of a nation are always more easily corrupted in the deeper strata of their emotional nature than consciously or voluntarily; and thus in the primitive simplicity of their minds they more readily fall victims to the big lie than the small lie, since they themselves often tell small lies in little matters but would be ashamed to resort to large-scale falsehoods. It would never come into their heads to fabricate colossal untruths, and they would not believe that others could have the impudence to distort the truth so infamously. Even though the facts which prove this to be so may be brought clearly to their minds, they will still doubt and waver and will continue to think that there may be some other explanation(!) For the grossly impudent lie always leaves traces behind it(!), even after it has been nailed down, a fact which is known to all expert liars in this world and to all who conspire together in the art of lying. These people know only too well how to use falsehood for the basest purposes....." -Hitler, Mein Kampf
"But let us not forget that violence does not live alone and is not capable of living alone: it is necessarily interwoven with the lie. -- Alexander Solzhenitsyn Nobel Prize in Literature, talk given to the Sweedish Academy, 1970
"Why of course the people don't want war ... But after all it is the leaders of the country who determine the policy, and it is always a simple matter to drag the people along, whether it is a democracy, or a fascist dictatorship, or a parliament, or a communist dictatorship ... Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is to tell them they are being attacked, and denounce the pacifists for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger." -- Hermann Goering, German leader, at the Nuremberg Trials after World War II
"Beware the leader who bangs the drums of war in order to whip the citizenry into a patriotic fervor, for patriotism is indeed a double-edged sword. It both emboldens the blood, just as it narrows the mind. And when the drums of war have reached a fever pitch and the blood boils with hate and the mind has closed, the leader will have no need in seizing the rights of the citizenry. Rather, the citizenry, infused with fear and blinded by patriotism, will offer up all."
"When fascism comes to America, it will be wrapped in the flag and carrying the cross." -- commonly attributed to Sinclair Lewis
"We need a common enemy to unite us." Condoleeza Rice, Houston Speech, March 2000
"In order to rally people, governments need enemies. They want us to be afraid, to hate, so we will rally behind them. And if they do not have a real enemy, they will invent one in order to mobilize us.." Thich Nhat Hanh, as quoted in "Engaged Buddhist Reader" By Arnold Kotler, p 106. "With the exception of the Dalai Lama, he is today's best known Buddhist teacher."
"The truth is, there is no Islamic army or terrorist group called Al Qaeda. And any informed intelligence officer knows this. But there is a propaganda campaign to make the public believe in the presence of an identified entity... the country behind this propaganda is the U.S." -- Robin Cook - Former British Foreign Secretary, excerpt from an Apr.-Jun. 2004 article by Pierre-Henry Bunel, a former agent for French military intelligence.
The whole aim of practical politics is to keep the populace alarmed, and hence clamorous to be led to safety, by menacing it with an endless series of hobgoblins, all of them imaginary." - H.L. Mencken. Writer. editor, critic (1880-1956) In Defense of Women (1918), Page 53 of the 1926 edition
"The conscious and intelligent manipulation of the organized habits and opinions of the masses is an important element in democratic society. Those who manipulate this unseen mechanism of society constitute an invisible government which is the true ruling power of our country. ...We are governed, our minds are molded, our tastes formed, our ideas suggested, largely by men we have never heard of. ...In almost every act of our daily lives, whether in the sphere of politics or business, in our social conduct or our ethical thinking, we are dominated by the relatively small number of persons...who understand the mental processes and social patterns of the masses. It is they who pull the wires which control the public mind." -- Edward Bernays, in his book "Propaganda"
"One of the least understood strategies of the world revolution now moving rapidly toward its goal is the use of mind control as a major means of obtaining the consent of the people who will be subjects of the New World Order." -- K.M. Heaton, From The National Educator
"It gives us a special, secret pleasure to see how the people about us are unaware of what is really happening to them. They gaze fascinated at one or two familiar superficialities, such as possessions and income and rank and other outworn conceptions. As long as these are kept intact, they are quite satisfied." -- Adolf Hitler, in "Hitler Speaks" by Hermann Rauschning, p. 192
".... Producing a kind of painless concentration camp for entire societies so that people will in fact have their liberties taken away from them, but will rather enjoy it, because they will be distracted from any desire to rebel by propaganda, or brainwashing, or brainwashing enhanced by pharmacological methods. And this seems to be the final revolution." - Aldous Huxley, Tavistock Group, University of California Medical School, Lecture 1961
