The Washington Post reports that an anti-choice group is twisting Obama’s life story, in order to make a point about abortion. The ad seems to suggest, by recounting some of the hardships of Obama’s childhood, that his situation was typical of those where abortion is considered.
As the piece points out, Obama’s parents were married when he was born, and there is no evidence that his mother ever considered abortion.
But there’s another question: Where in the ad does it offer help to children - and their families - after they’re born? And, why is it that the same people who rail about abortion, also oppose policies that support the vast majority of children and families - from wages to child care to education?
