Why is the USA peddling Nuclear Technology in Turkey? Tell me I'm dreaming so I can wake up and everything will be okay.

::::::::

Note to self : get the word out. We're screwed in more ways than one if this goes through.

Turkey is a huge country with a lot of interesting places to see, people to meet, etc. But having been there, I can reassure you, there are also a few aspects of Turkey you really don't wan to know about, places you would rather not visit and people you had better avoid meeting. While on vacation in Turkey, I learned a few new words and phrases but I also learned not to use a few words. One of those words is "politics". Speaking of POLITICS !!.....safely tucked away in another country where the word can readily be used without people dropping what they're doing so they can stare at you for breaking a taboo..... WTF is the USA providing Turkey with nuclear technology? Are we nuts? The Turkish Govt. doesn't have half the country under control and the Turks are known for their wheelin and dealin. Let me put it this way......once Turkey has the goods, and we have good reason to believe they already have it, you can bet your bottom dollar they'll have sold it to a few more countries. That's how the market works, folks! Buy and sell. BUT YOU DON'T SELL NUKES UNLESS YOU HAVE A DEATH WISH!!!

Is that it? Are these nuts trying to kill us all?

Why is the Congress asleep at the wheel?

Luke Ryland: What needs to be done?

Sibel Edmonds: The way they've structured this deal is that Congress has 90 days from the announcement, now 84 days, to block the 'agreement' otherwise it basically becomes law.

The first thing that we need to do is to make sure that this doesn't 'automatically' become law. We need the journalists, the experts, and the bloggers to raise hell over this issue, and we need to make sure that Congress investigates this properly before rubber-stamping it. The clock is ticking and we need to act now.

"automatically become law"???

We're screwed, thanks to a DOA Congress.
