I was watching MSNBC last night and I was listening to all the talking heads speaking about waterboarding. Then an individual who was an ex-CIA agent indicated that waterboarding in China/Korea was used to brainwash people. It was not used to get information from people. Waterboarding was ineffective in getting information from people. Then the MSNBC commentator, Chris Matthews, said, " Oh that sounds like incompetence."
Incompetence or intentional? Why would the CIA be interested in brainwashing the "terrorists" if they weren't trying to get information. They knew that waterboarding would not get information, but they knew it would brainwash the "terrorists". Why would they be brainwashing terrorists? Maybe because they were not terrorists to begin with. Maybe they were being brainwashed to believe that they were terrorists. Sound ridiculous? I'm not so sure.
Now you have the right wing talking heads screaming about saving American lives with torture when we have butchered a million Iraqis to "save" American lives. It makes no sense. Maybe the right wing talking heads are aggressively defending torture/brainwashing because it is the key that will unlock the whole 911/ useless war issue.
