Better the New World hadn't been there, and the Nina, the Pinta, and the Santa Maria had run aground in Hawaii, with Ole Chris meeting the end that befell Captain Cook almost three centuries later. Better for the Caribs, of course, if you count the aborigines on the hundreds of islands in the Caribbean. But who counts the Caribs?



No, I suppose if you look at it scientifically, if there had been no New World to block Europe's westward search for a way to outflank the Muslims in Africa, there probably would have been no humans on the third orb out from El Sol.

Which would have saved ole Earth a lot of murdering and shame.
