Granted, he has not taken over as yet, however, on the first day of the 111th Congress we see more of the same as laws continue to be broken. In this case state laws have been over-ruled by the Senate. In Illinois Roland Burris was legally named to replace Barack Obama and in Minnesota Al Franken was named the winner in that election. In both cases the Senate decided to not abide by the law by not seating either.
Where is their justification in either case? Legally, they have none. Go figure, they give a convicted felon a 45 second standing ovation, calling him “distinguished” yet they don't abide by the law of the state of Illinois or Minnesota. If we can't expect lawfulness from our elected officials now, how does that change things from what we have experienced the past eight years?
It seems as though we once again had smoke blown up you know where, this time by Barack Obama. When will we learn? Or is it too late?
