Bush's likely farewell surprise trip to Iraq did not quite follow script. Even though Bush is the most-well protected person on the planet (for good reason), security could not stop an irate Iraqi newsman from tossing his shoes at Bush and calling him a dog.

Metaphorically, throwing a shoe at someone is a big insult in the Arab world, as is calling him a dog. This was not a good PR day in the Middle East for George Walker Bush. See:
