We must all look at the world's events with an eagle eye and a critical mind.

::::::::

Headlines bellow that scores of people are tragically dead in Pakistan, Afghanistan, Iraq.  Past attacks have killed Israelis, Palestinians, Lebanese, Spaniards, British, and Americans.  Amidst our tears in each of these tragedies, we must pause to ask, cui bono?, i.e. who benefits?

Political literacy and critical thinking are needed today to interpret the rapid pace of events occurring around us. In our virtual "Photoshop" world, nothing should be taken at face value.  Some questions to consider below.

  1. WHO is behind this event?  Who benefits from it?
  2. WHAT techniques are being used to attract your attention or manipulate you?  What may be missing or hidden from you in this scenario?
  3. WHEN does this event occur?  Is it related to a potential goal or outcome of a particular beneficiary?
  4. WHERE does this event occur?  Are beneficiaries close by or standing by?
  5. WHY was this scenario chosen and what was its purpose?

 The questions are easy--the answers are difficult.

 Peace.
