I'm astonished to know how many Americans think they live in a democracy and not a republic.
A democracy is where the majority rule and...
George Bu$h did not win a majority in 2000 or 2004, with all the disenfranchised votes, and other registered voters either too busy or uninterested in doing their civic duty.
If the US was a democracy, then there would be no War On Terror, since less than 30% of the population support Bu$h, and with the majority who don't think the US is on the proper track. All former and current Bu$h administration officials would be impeached, be guilty of Treason and have War Crimes judgments against them. The Fascists of Bu$h & Co. are "Enemy Combatants" against the US Constitution, Bush even calling it a "Damn Piece of Paper", and negating Congressional laws with signing statements.
Americans could be enjoying gainful employment, health insurance, and pension plans, since the majority feel this is what the present situation lacks.
The US is no longer a republic but a dictatorship, under the guise of Bu$h's rogue government spying on its law abiding citizens, and usurping Congressional oversight, with most in Congress failing their constituents.
I Love the USA, but am embarrassed with the present representatives within the current government who are the most unpatriotic bunch since the Reagan years.
