Below is a letter sent out by the Kiel Area School Board, in Wisconsin. We seem to either have school boards that don't care about teaching the truth of pre-historic history, or foolish school boards that want to teach Creation Science or Intelligent Design. Where is the middle ground? After the letter, is my response, which I have not gotten a reply:
Subject: Kiel Area School District Science Curriculum
Dear Ladies & Gentlemen:
Thank you for your interest in the recently discussed agenda item related to alternative theories of the origins of man. The Kiel Area School District Board of Education conscientiously conducted the business of the district with dedication, professionalism, and openness. Contrary to general perceptions of public officials, throughout discussions on this topic, the Board demonstrated the willingness to listen, consider, and respect the views of individuals in our community while insuring compliance to State standards and affirming community values.
After carefully considering this topic with due diligence, the Board decided to make no changes to the curriculum. This concern received thorough consideration and research by district staff. When topics, such as this one, come to the Board and we discover that current practice aligns with State standards and respects community values, then we are not compelled to make changes in policies or procedures.
I trust this alleviates your concerns.
Sincerely,
Cynthia Schmahl

Now, here was my reply:
Subject: RE:Kiel Area School District Science Curriculum (response)
Dear School Board President Schmahl:
Thank you for your letter.
In the letter, you said that "The Kiel Area School District Board of Education
conscientiously conducted the business of the district with dedication,
professionalism, and openness". I would like to challenge that position.
I am the leading expert in the world on the book of Genesis. I took the time to
email each of you on the school board, two months ago, trying to educate you about
the importance of teaching students the truth of pre-historic history, and not just the
tenets of Atheism, nor the falsehoods of Creationism. The world of science is biased
against anything that suggests the existence of a Deity, and the current doctrines of
both "young Earth" and "old Earth" creationism misrepresent the Genesis text. Also,
Intelligent Design is inept, a waste of time, and does not address the geologic and fossil
records of Earth.
The correct opposing view to evolution is the "Observations of Moses", which gives
the proper rendition of Genesis chapter one.
None of you even had the "dedication" to respond, nor the "professionalism" to obtain
all available information, nor the "openness" to view the 62 minute presentation that I
offered to show you, which proves both evolution and current creationism to be in error.
How can you make a correct decision on such an important matter, without the correct
information? How can an untruth (creationism), ever prove another lie (evolution), to
be in error?
If you think you have heard from "experts", you are wrong. You have listened to bad
information, given by those mired in ignorance.
How important is it to teach the truth of history? Suppose school children in Japan are
taught that Tokyo went to war in 1940 because the USA attacked Okinawa in 1939?
The reason is wrong, the place is wrong, the dates are incorrect. Would you think that
someone is in denial? Or that they wanted to brainwash the students?
Along with the presentation, I also teach a 6-hr class for science teachers, which I call a
"Genesis appreciation" course. It goes into more depth concerning the geologic and fossil
records of our ancient past, and trains the teachers on how to teach the students about
Genesis, and to answer the questions the students might ask.
Also, I give protection against the lawsuits that may be filed by the ACLU. I can defeat
them in a court of law, in such a way that they would never oppose anything that is not
"evolution" again.
So yes, you have left a lot of stones "unturned", and are not allowing the students access
to valid opposing views to the (false) conclusions of science.
I offer to show the presentation to the board. All of the Clergy, and all "so called" Bible
colleges and seminaries have no clue to what the Genesis text is saying. It is not about
"creation", as the world of Creationism teaches. Genesis has no "creation accounts".
Now, let's see how "dedicated, professional, and open" the Kiel School Board is.
Please advise,
Herman Cummings
