Such a lot going on these days. So much to worry about, agitate over, grapple with. It's really quite engrossing, all this talk of war, global warming, dwindling energy resources, impeachment, globalization, terrorism, corporate greed, government corruption, the media, the neocons, the zionists, torture camps, nuclear weapons. Whew, what a list. It's almost like an intricate, well-crafted, multi-level video game, isn't it. Except that this is no game. It's real! The deaths are real! The torture is real! The suffering is real!
No, this is no game at all.
As I scan the internet every day for news and opinions, I lately find myself adapting a frame of mind that accepts any day where things aren't getting worse as a good day. I wonder if this is what the road to hell must be like.
So my question to you, Mr. Bush, is this: When will it be enough? How many more lives must be destroyed before you've had your fill? Thousands? Hundreds of Thousands? Millions, perhaps? Maybe even Billions. And when it reaches, oh say about 6.6 Billion, will it be enough then? Then will you let the people of Planet Earth live in peace?
Do you remember the movie "The Running Man" starring Arnold Schwarzenegger? For me, the most powerful scene in that movie occurs near the end - right at the moment that the world awakens to the fact that Richard Dawson has been lying to them throughout the entire movie. And there's this one lady in the studio audience who's giving Dawson a look that speaks volumes - as if to say "When I get my hands on you, you dirty S.O.B...."
Now I'll grant you, humanity can be pretty dense at times, but sooner or later those who haven't yet figured it out are going to wake up just like the people in this movie did, and they'll realize that you, Mr. Bush have been lying to them about a lot of things. I can just see all 6.6 billion of them getting that very same look on their faces, as they think about what they're going to do to you.
Then they'll watch as someone (Arnold perhaps?) pulls the lever that sends you zooming down that same spiralling tube of death and doom that you've been sending us down for the last six years.
Mission Accomplished!
