The below link is the Science of Yoga, as prescribed by Lord Vishnu, during his earthly sojourn as Kurma, the Tortoise Avatar, and presented to the Sage Narada (as if you didn't already know) many millennia ago. Kurma was the second Incarnation of Lord Vishnu, during the current cycle of the cosmos (see this clink for all 10 Incarnations of Lord Vishnu http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dashavatara).
This is yoga in it's purest form. As one Master once said, "Whenever you see a picture of Shiva or the Buddha in meditation, this is what they're doing."
Please note that it has absolutely nothing to do with physical exercise (which I'm all for, and certainly has it's place).
Yes, it is virtually impossible for the average person to do. But as someone else once said, it's something we all have to do eventually, since it is one of the few ways of realizing who one really is.
The link below is an excerpt from "The Complete Works of Swami Vivekananda" entitled "Raja Yoga" (for "The Complete Works..."click here)

This second link (below) is just a nicely told tale of an encounter with a genuine Yogi, in his cave, deep in the Himalayas, who apparently dedicated himself to going "all the way" with the above Yoga.
This Yogi ( by-the-way) never had any sexual or financial scandal associated with him (as far as I know) during his entire lifetime.
He is quite well-known in India.
