The Meaning Of It All

Let us discuss what for some might be taboo for some people to consider.

Energy can not come into existence from nothing and cannot go out of existence into nothing. Energy is, always has been and always will be. Everything is composed of energy.

If there is anything we should know, it is the secret of existence is recycling. Everything in existence comes from that eternal energy which will never go out of existence, it will only change form, which is constant recycling of everything throughout eternity. We should also be able to say we don't know how everthing that is came to be what is, it just did for all we know.

Time travel is impossible other than the day-to-day travel into the future we do now. Because every atom that presently comprises a human body has always existed, one cannot take those atoms backward in time without disappearing because those atoms existed in some other form and place in the past. So if a person could step out of the time-space continuum at one time and re-enter that continuum in an earlier time, all his atoms would be in existence elsewhere. Perhaps a person's atoms were in a clam on a beach, in water of the lakes or part of a dinasaur's feces in a forest; they were there. That may be the origin of the cleaned-up phrase "dung for brains."

Black holes suck up everything within their gravitational pull; too powerful for even light to escape, and light is energy.

When sucking up everything, black holes crush all matter and atoms, the building blocks of everything, are compressed so that there is no negative space remaining.

When compressed so tightly that there is no room for energy to move and since we know that splitting an atom releases heat so intense it melts the skin off a human body, we can conclude this compressed energy creates its own intense heat by being crushed into dismemberment that splits all atoms causing a fiery explosion out the other side of the black hole, like a giagantic cosmic fart, a new Big Bang that will create entire new solar systems, galaxies or perhaps a new universe if the black hole was big enough to swallow and reprocess the entire present universe.

How can anyone refute the idea that everything in existence has always existed and the universe has been Big Banging itself into existence over and over again then recycling everything through black holes and will continue to do so forever? There's no way to know, but that doesn't mean that isn't the reality of everything.

This brings up the idea of religion. Did the God so many think created everything out of nothing magically appear, being created Him'Her-Itself out of nothing by some unknowable process. Unlikely, but that isn't the important thought. We have already discussed that matter does not come into existence out of nothing and what exists cannot become nothing. Everything is recycled. This is indisputable except for one thing; life itself. Does life come from nothing being created by the fertilization of an egg and does life pass into nothing at death? Logic, not religious faith, says that neither is so; life does not spring from nothing and will not dissipate into nothing, it is and it always will be. So the matter of abortion raises similar concerns. Does the life of an aborted fetus become nothing or does it become recycled into life at another place and of different sort? There is no way to know the answer to that but if we accept that life cannot come from nothing and cannot dissipate into nothing, we have to accept that such life isn't wasted. And neither is the life that exists in an unferilized egg that is lost through menstration.

We know the concept of gods ruling over and controlling everything was given birth by primitive minds of long ago when there was no understanding of what is, and what causes and governs what is. Those primitive minds knew nothing of nature's laws so conjured up mystical beings controlling the sun and the rain, and especially thunder and lightning, the day and the night, war, peace, love, the oceans and rivers, the sky and everything imaginable. Those primitive minds felt that if some calamity befell them, it was because they had displeased one of those mythical gods and that god needed something to abate its anger and displeasure. So a flood needed a sacrifice to the god of water, and a virgin ~ something pure and unspoiled ~ would work fine if flung into a volcanoe to pacify the water god. And when the flood eventually abated, primitive minds deluded themselves into thinking virgin flinging was the reason, so that activity became a ritual and many perfectly fine virgins were harmed beyond repair by such primitive thinking. Just because some less-primitive minds later on gave control of everything to one god in the sky doesn't make that god any more realistic that the numerous gods of the primitive minds He'She-It replaced.

It s long past due, but the human animal should grow up and accept that "angels" of heavenly residence are but metaphors signifying what is good in all of us, and "satan" and "demons" are metaphors for the internal evils that all of us have. It is just that some people have more angels and fewer demons than do some other people.

There are so many compelling stories ~ unproved scientifically ~ about past lives and reincarnation. Perhaps they are true, perhaps not, but the established scientific theory that nothing goes out of existence and that what exists will always exist in one form or another may indicate that the chances of reincarnation are more likely than nothingness after death. If so, reincarnation may possibly be the "eternal life" that so many religions constantly harp about but claim is not available to anyone who doesn't think as the religion leaders want them to think.

Religions, based on a god figure, that teaches and fosters morality in an otherwise crude society can have a positive inluence on any society. But activities such as the Christian Crusades into the Middle East, the Inquisitions of Spain and Portugal, pogroms of tsarist Russia, flying hijacked aircraft into New York City skyscapers, massacre in India of Hindus by Pakistani Muslims, Salem witch hunts and trials, forced conversion to Christianity by government of Ameican Indians, or murder of phyicians because they practice birth control or perfom abortions negates most of the good religion can muster.

So who needs religion when civilized knowledge will serve us just fine? There is no reason to argue about religion, no reason to discriminate against others or oppress them over religion, no need to die for religion and no reason to go to war over religion, but our modern primitive minds will always do so.
