We lose ground daily at such a rapid rate that it is no surprise to see the likes of 1960's style racism surfacing more openly again in the south. The current 'noose' incidents in Louisiana are but a mere part of it. Couple it with the 'grand poohba' of the KKK's remarks earlier this year and you have a recipe for a possible scenario to incite fear and pandemonium.
Let's say 'the threat' were to be taken as real and the devious nature of the current neocons was threaded through it. It might look something like this:
Phase One: Assure the nomination of Obama.
Phase Two: Assasinate him prior to election.
Phase Three: In reaction to the obvious march (read that as advance) on Washington by 'the Black Community' and its supporters, martial law is declared, elections are cancelled and the commander-in-chief won't be 'let go' due to the declaration of 'civil war'.
Phase Four: Anyone opposing the government will be called 'home grown terrorists', rounded up by the likes of Blackwater and placed in Haliburton's detention camps.
Voilla' ...more Bush!
The fact that our current demise gives even the slightest inclination toward the consideration of such a ghastly scenario speaks volumes.
