Please forgive me if I cannot bring myself to vote for the lesser of two evils. I am still of the opinion that I can only vote for just men. My conscience will only allow me to support causes I can believe in. And it is wrong to believe that the end always justifies the means. As a Libertarian, I will not support the newest incarnation of the Democratic Party or the latest Republican Party for that matter. Both parties in recent years have had control of the Congress and the Presidency, and yet both have failed to deliver on their promises. But they always seem to have an excuse at hand as to why.The very fact that Obama is a Democrat is not the only reason that I will not vote for him. Everyone thinks that he will do this or that based on nothing but what he says. And yet the best reason Obama gives for voting for him is he will tax the rich. This is assuming that we are stupid enough to think that rich people have do not have access to tax lawyer, accountants, tax shelters and offshore banking that most people cannot take advantage of. And I am not a racist if I do not vote for Obama. However McCain still wants us to think we need to stay in Iraq for one hundred years if necessary. Even though the Iraqi people want us out, the rest of the world wants us out, the majority of our citizens want us out, but McCain knows better than everyone. But the best reason he gives us to vote for him is he is not Obama. And God does not want me to vote Republican Party nor is he a member.McCain and Obama will only be able to do what their parties will let them do. Both McCain and Obama voted for the "bailout"-, which was supported by both of their parties. Both parties voted for the Iraq invasion, the Patriot Act as well as the last pork fest spending bill were supported both parties. Yet we still continue policies that have been proven failures in education, the environment, the war on drugs, the war on poverty, as well as the cost of health care. We have idiotic tax system bloated with special interest infused rules. We have a monetary policy that could best be described as completely foolish and massively corrupt. And I still haven't mentioned social security, overseas job loss, scandals and corruption in Washington, stagnation in our economy, assaults on our freedoms and the list goes on.Until a viable third party emerges we are doomed to more of the same. Our children will inherit an enormous mess, our grandchildren will pay the price of our fiscal failure and historians will say we inherited so much and squandered our inheritance foolishly. At best future generations will think we were misled and at worst we were idiots.
