Why would my ex-party, the Democrats, the party of the people, the friends of labor and the common man, so energetically support behavior that is illegal (for many other valid and important reasons) and which drives down the wages of all working folks?
.
We know that Bushco does it simply to drive costs down to benefit the greed mongers, but the Dems? Could they be kowtowing to the same lobbyists? Or mongering for the certified Hispanic votes? And why haven't the unions been heard on this issue? Censored out of the oligopolistic once-free press?
.
America, please wake up! Open your eyes! Think, damn it, think! Then do what good people must do to save themselves from tyrants and jackasses of whatever partisanship!

Recalling the sad socio-economic milieu of the old Europe, and considering the progress that has been made in our lifetime in the new Europe, it sadly occurs to me that the new America in many ways is starting to resemble the old Europe -- and so few notice -- and fewer yet care.

The choices of decent Americans appear now to be but two: Work to change this sad direction here, or go elsewhere to find what we believed America should be.
