Mme. Zaratamara asks the I-Ching, Ancient Book of Changes, to speak about Obama and this Change.

::::::::

I confess, I just dried my eyes from tears of joy after I consulted with the I-Ching about Obama and this Change. My heart leapt as I began to recognize this Hexagram...One, out of 64 that was especially for him:

It said, "Possession in Great Measure" !

"Supreme Success; all things come to a man who is modest and kind in a high position"

"Fire in heaven above; the Image of Posession in Great Measure.

All things stand out in the light

Thus the Superior Man curbs Evil and furthers Good

and thereby obeys the benevolent will of heaven " (And the People! this Hexagram indicates the Mass)

"The yielding receives the honored place in the Great Middle, upper and lower correspond.

His character is firm and strong, ordered and clear, finding correspondence in heaven and moving with the Time"

His "changing" line was the nine in the fourth, which said,

"He makes a difference
Between himself and his neighbor.

No Blame

(he is clear, discriminating and intelligent)"

Sounds like our Man alright!

The hexagram then changes to

The Taming Power of the Great

"The Firm ascends and honors the worthy.

Perseverance furthers. (a note to us all)

He is able to keep his strength still; this is great correctness.
Not eating at home (entering public service)
brings good fortune, for people of worth are nourished

It furthers one to Cross the Great Water"

(great undertakings are now possible!)

The individual lines and especially their sequence are also VERY meaningful, warning at the beginning of the seriousness of the task and dangers to be guarded against and surmounted, (and I should really send this to him!)

"No relationship with what is harmful;

If one remains conscious of the difficulty, one remains free of blame."

Then it speaks of "A great wagon for loading" and setting to work with able helpers for important undertakings.

Then it says, "A prince offers it to the son of heaven; a petty man cannot do this" , meaning, "A magnanimous, liberal-minded man should not regard what he possesses as his propert alone but should place it at the disposal of the People at large."

Then comes his aforementioned line about making a difference between himself and his "Neighbor", which could mean Bush : "This characterizes the position of a man placed among rich and powerful neighbors. It is a dangerous position. He must look niether to the right nor the left, and must shun envy and the temptation to vie with others. In this way he remains free of mistakes"

The last two lines speak of a very favorable situation. "His Truth is accessible, yet dignified. People are being won not by coercion but by unaffected sincerity, so that they are attached to us in sincerity and truth. "

Confucious, who wrote footnotes to this ancient Oracle, says of this:

"To bless means to help. Heaven helps the man who is devoted; men help the man who is true. He who walks in truth and is devoted in his thinking, and furthermore reveres the worthy, is blessed by heaven. He has good fortune, and there is nothing that would not further."

I'd say the I-Ching has certainly given Obama's Change a ringing endorsement!

Love and solidarity,

Bia
