Can We the People of the United States any longer afford the protections offered by Our Government from the enemies that haunt it? We have accepted these protections on faith, and we have shared their consequences with much of the world. We do not live on an inaccessible island. There is no militia or border that can protect us from our transgressions or our fear. We are responsible for our transgressions and those of Our Government. Who is responsible for our fear?Dens of deception are poorly lit. To 'light a candle rather than curse the dark' is a difficult task when some are on call with water and air to extinguish our view, and thereby our perception, and thus the truth.
This, it seems, is the intent of the extinguishers: to perpetuate blindness, confusion, and division among the People. Not the work of principled men, but work in which some find satisfaction and have shown a knack. There can be no progress toward repair without cooperative effort. No good comes from a team of horses pulling in conflicting directions, except for the amusement of those cracking the whip. A grand display of ignorance and confusion is the intent. But who is ignorant and confused?
Rain will fall up before the extinguishers change their tack. What is their incentive to change? Honest men will admit some passion for self-indulgence. What is sufficient reason for the extinguishers to change? Are they hungry? Do they have shelter? Are they protected from what threatens them? What is their need? Search diligently; you will find they have no need. They suffer insatiable want. While they demonstrate measured concern for the welfare of those providing their food, their shelter, and their protection, they are devoted to the subjective use of subjects. People are expendable; they are the expenders.
What will bring change is what always accompanies change? Conflict. All must yield some interest when resolving a disagreement. He who yields first without violating his self-worth is the greater person because this hastens the arrival of the end of the disagreement. He who forfeits his 'self' in the bargain deserves repair in measure to his self's understanding of the disagreement. Arguing for or against the unknown or misunderstood is the useless work of disengaged minds that are harmless if ignored.
Repair to this circumstance requires understanding by the People of what the damage and its source is. We have been blinded to the truth by some who benefit from darkness. Without facts, knowledge is fiction. Who benefits from the extinction of truth?
Our Government no longer enjoys the trust of the People. Repair will not occur until the truth is known. The damage wrought by the conflict arising from the search for truth will not exceed that presently wrought by the extinguishers.
