Now - apparently there are people out there who are spinning 3 distinct new demoralizing conspiracy theories.Disinformation #1 - ANY EMPLOYEE can get on Medicaid by telling the Department of Job and Family Services either he/she can't afford health insurance.
Disinformation #2 - I don't know if the unions are aware of it, but the comment section of this article shows a comment or two that unions are orchestrating the illegal receipt of ineligible employees' participation in Medicaid.
Disinformation #3 - Destroy people employed by Walmart because they are presumed to be unintelligent and waste their pay.

COLUMBUS, Ohio -- The state says more than 100,000 Ohio employees of major retail and restaurant chains get health insurance not from the companies but from taxpayers, through Medicaid.

A report released Tuesday by the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services shows Walmart has more than 15,000 Ohio workers receiving Medicaid coverage for the poor and disabled, more than any other company on the list. The retail giant is Ohio's largest employer with more than 54,000 workers.
The report notes that some Ohioans who could be insured through their employer opt for Medicaid instead because it costs them less or offers them more coverage.
Walmart Stores Inc. spokesman Greg Rossiter says the company offers affordable health care to both full- and part-time workers.

Its amazing how people here in Cincinnati think they have all the answers about every issue. Wal-Mart happens to be one of the Retailers who offers health insurance to it's part time employees. Most retailers and restaurants do not. The elderly and disabled employees often do not want to "lose their Medicaid/Medicare and Social Security benefits because they are relatively free." They tend to work limited part time hours to maintain there eligiblity for Goverment Entitlement Programs. I would bet that this article is somehow supported (funded) by the Unions that want to organize Walmart's employees.
"Turbocharged":
Just because some people who have no work skills other than scanning items at a checkout, stocking shelves, mopping floors or asking "Do you want fries with that?" can't or opt to not take their employee provided healthcare, doesn't mean there is a heathcare crisis. I am perfectly happy with my employee provided heathcare, dental, vision and HSA accounts for me and my three dependants, as are all of my co-workers.
You want something better. Get some skills (i.e. education) which are beneficial to those ouside the checkout line. Learn to speak English (not Jive, spanglish or boogaloo). Get up in the morning and go to work without an excuse or a chip on your shoulder. Wear work appropriate clothing. Quit spending your money on scratch off lottery tix, smokes, pork rinds, fast food and everything else which is not beneficial to your well being.
This entiltlement mentality of those who provide nothing is preposterous.
