John McCain claims it's safer in Baghdad, Cheney tells us it's getting better, Bush screams we need more time, and the carrot dangles in our faces, as blood pours down the streets of Iraq.
A deep abiding sickness crawls across our land, a planned deviation from caring commonsense paradigms towards a misanthropic mood of perpetual war for peace.
Peace is never reached, in this new paradigm, for war is the base of our platform, and Neo Con's means of existence. We hear the rhetoric of war for peace and it resounds on deaf ears, never fazed by the irony of the concept, too late tuned in to the lie.
Like lost pilgrims in the political desert we see the lake of peace but when we get there, it is another frustrating mirage glimmering in the sand.
Bellum as a means for finding peace is a last resort, and should be used that way, with conscious awareness of the reasons and plans for this commitment. And of course the peace planned for afterwards, as in Kosovo, yet real peace it is never the current American goal.
Bush claimed "Mission Accomplished" but did not plan for peace and so war goes on.
This is not mismanagement, nor incompetence; this is planned consistent agitation to promote a constant state of war.
I hear the charge of poor planning and it does seems that way on the surface, yet underneath the PNAC think tank plan has always been to agitate and use any excuse for further bellum.
War is their life blood, their power structure, their profits and twisted reason for living.
Is it a coincidence that Cheney's Halliburton and the Bush, Bin Laden families little conglomerate called Carlyle Group are reaping billions in defense contracts with no bids, no worries, as our Tax dollars fill their pockets?
Is it not strange that the Saudis were proven to be the largest backers of terror and most 9\11 terrorist were Saudis; yet they are not on the Bush Axis of Evil list?
Do we ever wonder how all this is ethical, or more like criminal, but we fear the men in Turbans far more then the enemy within.
They scream we need years of war to rid the world of Islamic Fascist, or I hear of the "Global Islamic Threat," all mottos and ideas or rhetoric to keep our distracted minds off the real manipulators of America. Peace is only achieved through military action in their world and we have been drug into the pits of deceit along with them.
Peace is the carrot stick they hang before our eyes and lead us forward like donkey's in a county fair race. The carrot of peace is hanging there yet is never reached, never touched, just moves away towards another conflict. We have become the weak being led by the evil and the cause of peace a ruse for more war.
Peace our tenuous partner is kidnapped bound and gagged and used as a hostage for the perpetuation of constant bellum. We hear the correlation of the two concepts then remember WWII and fall in line, and the election changed very little.
Yes, the Democrats want a pull out date, but every major candidate is fuzzy on the methods of withdrawal or all out hawks for the war.
The peace carrot is growing closer to the mule but they still do not let us take a bite. Bush and Cheney stomp for the Surge, as the blood in Iraq rolls down the streets a fills the gutters. They scream for more time after four years of steady decline, they cry it's improving as the death toll rises.
Witness the recent claims of John McCain who says it is safer in the streets of Baghdad. As he walks down a Baghdad street covered by hovering helicopters, sharpshooters on every roof and one hundred and fifty troops surrounding him in his bullet proof vest, he tells the cameras, "See I am safe."
We marched into Afghanistan on fairy solid ground; Osama and the Taliban were there. Then we followed the peace carrot from Afghanistan into Iraq on false pretense and lies. Now crawling on slithering propaganda and Baseless claims we move towards Iran, and probe for reasons to bomb.
Syria, Iran, Lebanon, Venezuela and North Korea have all been mentioned as possible war projects for the Neo Con war machine.
We fear the men in turbans, ethnocentric in our views, yet never see the good ole boy snake's in our midst, as they point towards the fear they engendered.
Major American candidates rarely face the enemy within, they continue to point away form the real problem of inner treason, towards the outer less pertinent threats and the paradigm of Perpetual Peace for Perpetual war goes on.
As long as we see the wart on our neighbor's nose and ignore the giant pimple on our own face, we will never be able to step out from under the thumb of the war machine for perpetual peace.
As the Neo Cons grind us into carrot chasers, and America marches towards the cliff of no return, we lose sight of real peace. We may never catch the peace carrot and if it dangles long enough my fellow countrymen, we may forget what peace was, and accept the perpetual war as peace.
