The far right is attempting to use big lies to destroy the chances of passage for the Obama health care plan. They have become the big liars once again.

::::::::

One might hope that even right-wing Republicans and their ilk would have some sense of common decency -- but one would be wrong! In the current debate over America ´s national health care and the urgent need for a public option, they have created a fabric of lies befitting The Third Reich. It was Nazi Germany which perfected the art of public lying, and the former Soviet Union which carried public lying even further than the Nazis (remember the Soviet Claim that they had invented the airplane some years before the Wright Brothers?) Now, America ´s far right is carrying such public lying to the point of no return.

And, should America fail to seriously revise and strengthen our second rate health care more-or-less-system, for which Americans pay first class costs and fees, a historic opportunity will be missed once again.
At its heart, the Obama plan merely provides more options for health care than the current patchwork arrangements, for which we pay the highest costs in the world. Given that some twenty percent of our citizens have little if any health care at all, and another twenty percent or so have grossly inadequate health plans, one would think that the obvious need for more options and structural change would prevail.

Instead, we have the endless lies by blatant liars about the Obama plan. The very terminology of ´socialized medicine ´ used to denigrate that plan is a big lie, which is far from any form of socialized medicine. The endless litany of right wing pundits stating that the government will make your health care decisions under that plan is still a big lie. The gross overstatement of the costs of that plan is another big lie. The list goes on and on, and gets worse with each passing day.

Now, the far right is using the tactic of intentional disruption of town hall meetings and similar public opportunities to discuss that plan. By doing so, they attempt to deny freedom of speech and of assembly to America and Americans. Their well-orchestrated campaign to prevent the facts and the truth about the Obama health care plan from receiving the vital serious consideration it deserves is truly shameful. But, what else can one expect, except more big lies from the big liars?
