The Beijing Olympics and my response to written articles I have read at OpEdNews.

::::::::

There have been several articles I have read recently at OpEdNews with their views of why the 2008 Beijing Olympics should be boycotted. This is my response to those opinions expressed, that are filled with information conveniently omitted, half-truths and applying western standards to China, a country with over 5,000 years of history.

A Mr. K has written several articles that state the CCP should not be allowed to hold the 2008 Beijing Olympics, by throwing a 40 billion dollar party. Where by hosting the nations of the world to attend, with the suppression of an independent Tibet, greater freedom for Chinese citizens, and religious tolerance for the Falun Gong group, which he claims to be a spokesperson for.

I want to make it clear that I do not have any affiliation with the CCP or support its practice of suppression of freedoms within China or its autonomous regions, as I was accused of in a rebuttal by him. In twisting my words and replacing them with his ideas I never brought up in any of my former comments posted in response to his articles.

I have responded that the CCP is not a Communist party as defined by Karl Marx, who meant it to be a mostly agrarian society, living in a communal way. Where everyone receives the same salary, lives in the same dwellings, dresses the same, and possess the identical possessions that are used in daily life.

China never has since the end of its Civil War operated in this manner whatsoever, and its leadership under Mao received preferential treatment resembling an oligarchy of Maoism, than communism. The US chose during the Chinese Civil War to support Chiang Kai Shek, where he and his entire family were so corrupt the Chinese people could see this and gullibly backed Mao. With many after realizing he too was a power hungry individual, attempted to flee, but were gunned down or forced to fight in the Korean war, eliminating many of his rivals, if they were not put into prison afterwards.

He has written that tens of millions of its people starved to death in the past. While this is true, the reason is not that China was not capable of producing the food, but that it was collected and used as barter in exchange for weapons amongst the group of nations which "claimed" to be communist. So Mao could foment his revolutions around the world using his "Power is achieved through the barrel of the gun" mentality. Forcing the remaining starving Chinese people to eat tree bark and grass to survive during the 50-60's.

He mentioned how the present Dali Lama is "Peaceful", without providing the centuries long violent historical conflicts between the Yellow Hat and Red Hat society's. Of which the current Dali Lama is the spiritual representative of Tibetan Buddhism and its followers around the world today. Nor conveniently left out was how the CIA has in the past backed he and its desire for an independent Tibet.

I was accused in a rebuttal comment that he assumed I did not support the Dali Lama and his Nobel Peace Prize award. To assume is to make an ass of u and me. I have nothing but admiration for the Dali Lama and his desire for a free and a limited independent Tibet under the autonomous affiliation within China's administration of international affairs. Similar to how US individual states are affiliated and have a limited independence to compose the whole USA nation. Where the federal government carries out international diplomacy, prints currency and provides a national defense. Also omitted from his articles is how the Dali Lama has stated that he wants to see Beijing host the 2008 Olympics.

He mentions how the PLA moved into Tibet in 1959 to squash pro-independence movements, as if this was the first time China had occupied Tibet. The China-Tibet relationship has over a 1,500 year complex history of intermarriages of royal family's, exchanges of administrative and military officials and sharing of cultural that are difficult to separate between the two during this time frame. To just use one moment in history is to obscure and negate the above mentioned China-Tibet inter-relationship.

One must not chastise China for its territorial possessions of its autonomous regions, without admitting that this is how many a western country has used military intervention and over-running the previous sovereign nations they presently occupy. I will only focus on the USA and its history of territorial acquisition in creating its "Manifest Destiny" of the current geography composing the USA today.

During the French "Indian" wars, when the colonies were a part of England, it was a common practice for the military to use Native American's as guides and soldiers in the skirmishes to force the French out of the territory East of the Mississippi River. Afterwards it was a policy to kill these Native American comrades in arms, so as not to endure a future hostile group against the frontier society that were encroaching upon the pre-determined borders of the colonies. The Native American was not the first to take "Scalps", as this was an English practice adopted by the Hudson Bay Company to prove collection of bounty's offered by the crown.

After the colonies gained their independence and became the USA, the entire Native American tribes (that could be rounded up), were forcefully removed from their established farms, and a death march ensued to remove them to lands west of the Mississippi River. Many a frontier family did not hack their way through virgin forest, but merely took over these Native American farms with their already planted crops of commodities in the ground.

In 1802 the USA made the Louisiana Purchase from the French, who had not compensated the Native American tribes inhabiting this territory, but stole it outright claiming "Divine Right" in its acquisition. The entire south-west portion of the USA was a illegal military occupation, demanding the Hispanic population, some who still have title to these lands to surrender them to their newly occupied inhabitants.

The purchase of the territory of Alaska from Russia, who had not fairly compensated the Inuit and Eskimo tribes before selling these lands to the USA. The Hawaiian kingdom archipelago was acquired through illegal military intervention and occupation for strategic purposes and the native Hawaiian has never been compensated for this act of aggression. As with many of the territory's the USA possesses around the world, to base its military as a global quick response to its foreign interests. Culminating in the current illegal War Of Terror the Bu$h cabal is waging both domestically and abroad today.

We all know how the Native American populations were forced to live on pre-determined reservations, with the idea these lands were worthless. Though it is now known to contain some of the richest mineral deposits within the borders of the USA, who now wants to usurp these lands from the Native American, in order to exploit these mineral riches.

I now will return to China and its, realization by the CCP, with its disaster multi 5 year plans where the Chinese economy was not providing the basic needs of its citizens. Deng Shao Ping was removed from jail for the second time and allowed to jump start it with the "Making money is glorious" mantra. Where a mixture of capitalism was added to the socialist agenda providing China with what it enjoys today.

The CCP is responsible for bringing the largest group of people in the world out of poverty and creating the current middle class society China has today. It meets many of the basic needs its citizens enjoy and has garnered greater freedoms to them than in the past. While the USA and recent past republican administrations have been through outright lies and false evidence, has forced its citizens to surrender its liberty for security and received neither in return. By using false flag operations, spying on its citizens and incarcerating others under the guise of "Enemy Combatants", denying them due process, while not abiding by the Geneva Conventions which it is a signor of.

A M.F. has called the 2008 Beijing Olympics the "Genocide Olympics", with the Chinese military support of the present Darfur government. What she conveniently can't recall is the multitude of military false flag operations in the USA's past with the USS Main sinking in Havana harbor, which lead to the Spanish-American war, and Pearl harbor as just some examples. Also not mentioned is how the USA has used its CIA to remove the democratic elected president of Iran in 1953 and replaced with the Shah, who forcefully kept its citizens under his thumbscrews till 1979.

There is the CIA's usurpation of a democratic elected president of Chile, replacing him with Pinochet. The CIA's support of the Somoza family in Nicaragua, where the replaced Ortega administration began meeting the basic needs of its people, and the Reagan administration illegally supplied the Contras with weapons for cocaine, causing a crack epidemic in the USA inner-city's during the 80's. One must not forget Marcos of the Philippines who had billions of US aid money locked up in Swiss bank accounts. These are just a handful of the multitude of international crimes committed by the USA where untold millions have died, so the citizens of the USA can enjoy the decedent lifestyle it has lived as the #1 supplier of military hardware to the world.

One must remember that former Ronald Reagan "Freedom Fighter's" Saddam Hussein and Osma Bin Laden are now re-labeled as a former tyrant now dead, and Terrorist not captured by the republicans today.

A Ms. S had an article describing the conditions of Guangdong animal markets, and how they kill these caged "God's Creatures" to supply the meat for the Chinese to use in prepared foods. What she doesn't detail is how across the entire USA behind high fenced and giant warehoused structures lay untold millions of domestic livestock penned in more brutal than her article describes the confinement conditions these animals must endure to meet the sometimes thrice daily consumption of meat products Americans enjoy.

How they are electronic shocked and prodded to kill beds where staples, sometimes hammers and gunshot are used to kill them. Where the slitting of throats to bleed animal carcasses and sometimes still alive before they encounter a heated razor wire to remove the heads of these innocent creatures. While they flap and flail before being immersed into boiling water and then encounter a quickly rotating swatches of sandpaper to remove the feathers from carcases as the are then quartered and drawn.

Or have their hides opened up from anus to neck having the organs inside spilled onto a constant bloody floor to be squeegeed into a vat where the mixture is chopped up and processed into the hot dogs, bologna, head cheese and other pre-packaged meats Americans consume by the ton everyday.

Not mentioned is the cosmetic, pharmaceutical and scientific industries that apply their products, medications of bacteria, hormones and viral infections to see how they respond to these compounds and instruments of slow enduring agonizing death. Resulting in puberty beginning at earlier ages than nature intended and genetic changes outside of the confinement of these facilities.

How youthful decrepit minds will stick pyrotechnics down the throats and up the anus of innocent animals and delight in their explosion of mangled body's that sometimes are not directly killed by the trauma, but maimed for a painful horrific life.

There are many hidden from the public eye, caged animals that are starved and severely beaten in order to make them a more vigorous fighter in an arena surrounded by sadistic minds who bet on the outcome of these gruesome sporting events.

Our own current vice president who goes to secluded gun clubs and doesn't practice safe weapons handling while blasting away at a (friend), and fowl that have been forced to wear goggles for their brief lives, in order to blind them and not allow to fly beyond the range of buckshot to bring them down.

You cannot place recently acquired western "Ethics" of animal treatment on a culture that considers anything that crawls, flies, swims or walks as being a pet or even edible in the sumptuous Chinese food many enjoy around the world.

A Mr. S has posted that the Beijing Olympics should not be held with the recent earthquake disaster that Sichuan experienced, along with the carnage the world has wrought against all innocent victims. My response is the Olympics should be held in order for the world if briefly honor those who have paid the ultimate sacrifice while the games are in progress.

I look forward to the Beijing Olympics and under the charter they define that politics and cultural differences are to be set aside, while nations compete in sport for the enjoyment for all that care to either participate in or watch from the comfort of the facilities recently erected, with groups at a public venue and even ones own home far away from the action on a TV set.

Stanimal is ??? I hear cries for freedom elsewhere, while the US becomes less so. I hear support for free markets, then demanding a bailout due to incompetence. I roll my eyes at those that accuse others being oppressed while the US has and (more...)
