Sacred Fire by Cathy Pagano
What's
better on a cold winter's night than to sit around a fire and tell
stories? Well, if you provide the fire, I'll provide the stories!
In
this day and age, we can find a tv show or movie to watch 24/7. But it
seems me that none of the stories satisfy us, because we just quickly
go on to the next story and the next without taking time to reflect and
digest the story we just heard.
That's
why I decided to start an internet radio show for adults and young ones
that features ancient archetypal stories, myths, fairy tales and
legends. These ancient stories contain clues to many of our human
dilemmas, and the beauty of these tales is that they educate us at the
same time as they entertain us.
So
I'd like to invite you to shake off the workweek and stop by The Bard's
Grove on Friday night to stir your curiosity and awaken your
imagination. You don't have to take notes - just bring an open heart and a peaceful mind. We'll take care of the rest.
Please
join my co-host Rick and me for an hour of old-fashioned mythic
storytelling every Friday night starting this Friday, February 4th. You
can catch it here on the Internet at Blogtalk radio: http://www.blogtalkradio.com/rwspisak/2011/02/03/the-bards-grove
You
can catch it every Friday night at 10pm EST/ 9pm CST/ 8pm MST/ 7pm PST -
before you go to bed or before you go out on the town. For those of
you in other time zones, you can find your times here: http://www.timezoneconverter.com/ The shows will be archived if you miss any of them or if you want to listen again.
This week will be our first show, so please come out to support us
as we get our feet wet. We'll be talking about the Cosmic Story, about
Bards and about the place of community and reciprocal help in our
lives. You can even call in to comment or ask questions. Anything is
possible!
Please pass this on to anyone you know who loves stories and is looking for deeper meaning in their lives.
With warmest wishes on a cold winter's night,
Cathy
