Well, well.
Reverberations continue from my article, "CNN Caught In Genocidal Correctness." I have yet to see American news outlets picking up the story, but the story is wildfire in the Chinese community and blogosphere.
The article itself was run by the Epoch Times in both English and Chinese; both versions have spread in the blogosphere. A Chinese native in the U.S. wrote in that he "first saw the translation on a Chinese website and tracked [down] its original on OpEdNews."
Two radio programs (in Chinese) have been done about the article and its assertions regarding the U.S. MSM (news media). The Sound of Hope radio network is similar to Radio Free Asia and Voice of America, but with more anti-communism and news of the Chinese dissidents, Falun Gong, and the China Support Network.
If you understand Chinese, here are links to the two radio programs:

The first is with a male broadcaster; the second is with a female broadcaster. In the second one, you can hear what I said in English as they translate it, so this much of my interview was audible:
I've been very disappointed, and my organization as well. You know, we rose up in 1989 to stand with the June 4 students leaders, and that would be the political pro-democracy dissidents. In the 1980s, America was very anti-communist. [With] all of the President Reagan calling the Soviet Union an evil empire - just in general, there was this anti-communism that was pretty much the character of America.
[...] a tendency on the part of America's powerful to overlook human rights abuse because they like doing business with mainland China. And, when we have a news media that is simply carrying water for the powerful, then that news media turns a blind eye to these atrocities. The organ harvesting report, it's not discredited. That would be journalists who are trying to protect - the corruption, really - or what they call business as usual. With lots of trade and financial and diplomatic relations.
But, that's not journalism. That's cowardice. There's moral cowardice.
George Bush is not denouncing the organ harvesting. And maybe that's one reason why the journalists can excuse themselves - they can look at the White House or point over there and say, "Well hey, their policy is 'Conduct business as usual.' And have all of the trade and have all of the financial and diplomatic relationship."
What I would say, if I were pulled up on the news media right now to analyze the issue, I would be saying, 'There can be no business as usual with China in light of this': the organ harvesting revelation, really. It should be time to liberate the laogai camps. To bring out the prisoners. To free the Falun Gong. And when this happens, the world will see what kind of atrocity has been committed here. And, I suspect that the Chinese people will say, "Never again..."

My U.S.-based Chinese correspondent, writing in to OpEdNews, was very encouraging, saying:
I embrace your insight and bone-cutting criticism of American MSM and the horrible acts of the organ harvesting. Before I read your article, my hope had almost died of ever being able to see a day when somebody in the media or government would come and stand up and loudly and matter-of-factly accuse the Chinese government of perpetrating genocide, and deplorablly still, with a commercial purpose for genocide and other crimes the CCP committed and still committing.
I feel finally here came the daybreak on this side of the ocean that will shed light on how CNN and its cohorts try to please their overseas masters. You are right, John, their masters. Don't be shy, just say it and say it with a straight voice. It's not [just] the Chinese CCP is harvesting; worse still, CNN is harvesting, too. Harvesting by not saying anything, by refusing to say things that may not please their modern-day exotic masters. Here, "silence is gold", literally. ...It's ugly, hypocrytical and cheap, to say the least.
I feel so refreshened by your article and would like to urge you to go on and never stop getting engaged on this issue. ...What a joy and resonating experience to have read your work. Thank you so much!
