Determined to uncover the truth of her son Patrick's death, Nadia McCaffrey sought the help of California Senator Barbara Boxer. Boxer came through like a champ, immediately pressuring the Pentagon to come forward with the truth.

::::::::

Dedicated peace activist and Goldstar Mom Nadia McCaffrey tried for two years to get the military to provide the facts behind the June 2004 murder in Iraq of her son, California National Guard Specialist Patrick McCaffrey. At first, Nadia was told that Patrick had been murdered by insurgents... but his service buddies thought otherwise, suspecting instead that Patrick had been killed by members of the Iraqi military.

In September of 2005 the military concluded it's investigation of the deaths of McCaffrey and First Lieutenant Andre Tyson, which revealed the truth behind their murders...that they'd been killed by members of the Iraqi Civil Defense Corps... a group of Iraqi military Patrick's Guardsmen had been training. In a reprehensible act of cowardice and deceit, the American military deliberately hid this information from the McCaffrey and Tyson families for over nine months.

Determined to uncover the truth, Nadia sought the help of California Senator Barbara Boxer. And Boxer came through like a champ, immediately pressuring the Pentagon to come forward with the truth.

Thanks to Senator Boxer, now launching an investigation into this military coverup, the McCaffrey and Tyson families now know the facts behind the deaths of their servicemen sons.

Senator Boxer deserves our thanks for so readily coming to Nadia's assistance. Yes, it is the Senator's job to be of service. But as we know all too well, most members of Congress don't perform to the level of Barbara Boxer.
