Resigned to Probable Human Extinction
Is it bad to die if you have failed
Failed as a species to love Earth
Failed to protect future generations of all life on Earth?
It may be that it is by now a mercy death
Time it might be to contemplate going within
Human-ness letting go
Do not have children for it is too late
Too many will only die young if they are born
Species self-forgiveness we might be needing
And a gentle going into the night
It may be good that many do not know it is coming
Because they would only live in fear
God and Gaia are manifestors of this Blue Beauty
This fair and lovely Earth
Take it back Gaia and help us let go
I bow my head in partial resignation
We were supposed to be Gaia's neural net
Humans as brain cells of planethood
But it is so rare to hear truth even on the net
