Mold and mycotoxins are the primary renters of MY apartment. My name should not be on the lease!
Mold and mycotoxins have lived in my apartment for years. Do you know who or what was living in your home before you moved in? Do you know what might have been lurking in your walls, ceilings, behind your bathroom tile or in your central air/heating system? There are many more places where these unwanted guests can hide.
If you have an unexplained illness that worsens without any clue as to its origin, investigate, seek medical attention and don't settle for "Oh, it is just a cold; it will go away." Your unwelcome visitor just might have been visiting you since you moved into your new little safe haven - INDOOR TOXIC MOLD.
Mine started as a little cough...and grew into a disease. We must make more people aware of what these molds do. For the past year, I have been living, maybe, dying proof of it. You don't necessarily have to see the moisture or smell mold or mildew. The sad thing is----the landlord and management knew the mold was here.
We need to extend the awareness of illnesses that originate from mold. Let your political figures and local boards of health know about it; publicize it however you can. After all, these molds not only can affect you and your life, but will have an impact on your loved ones as well. Seek out an expert physician that treats patients affected by these indoor toxins.
Be assertive if these unwanted predators are affecting your health or that of someone you love. In my lifetime, I pray that I will never see my loved ones become ill from these toxins. My safe haven was never safe or habitable...which I should have been told.
If you or your loved ones experience any adverse health affects or illnesses--It just might be MOLD.
