The debate nobody saw, but was right before their eyes--WHY Obama was so benign.

I watched the debate very, closely. I made perhaps a hundred posts on facebook about it. I heard every word. AND YET, not one single person online, or tv, or on the radio since, seems to have seen what I saw, or at least nobody's saying a word! And let me add this, I had no idea, going in, that I would be so taken by surprise by something which, as a social theorist, I should have picked up on LONG ago. So when you finish this article, I suggest you find a way to view it again. I think you will want to, and I believe it is critically important to think about what I'm saying, discuss it often, and pay strict attention to who you vote for, and why. First I will make a brief statement about Obama. In my oinion, and you may come to agree despite your view at this moment, that Obama did a fantastic job, considering all that was really going on. He has always exhibited integrity when speaking publicly, which he did now. Many folks are complaining that he was not challenging enough, that he let too many things slide (lies, inaccuracies, even provocation, "bro"). This was not just because he is very intelligent, or too polite to make a necessary stand. It is not because anything the right wing has said has had any truth to it either. It is because he was dealing with an UNEXPECTED change of situation, which caused him to have to do a lot of juggling beyond the actual debate requirements, and there was some kind of distraction (which must have been pretty serious) off-camera and to his left. You will see this, and his ability to pay full attention to Romney, who was speaking, was stretched to the max, as he had to listen while stealing glances surreptitiously. What unexpected thing took 0bama "off his game"? It was ROMNEY'S RAGE. Maybe it's a women and kid thing, but there is no doubt that the Mittster was barely holding his temper. From the beginning he was tight, rigid, expectant. He exhibited the universal facial and postural traits of a viscious and brutal batterer. His stance, gestures, even timing fit the mold. His face, tense beyond all botox, his jaws clenched, his eyes (they will be the cause of many american nightmares). How difficult it must be to simultaneously bulge out your eyeballs, while blinking almost at strobe speed! The man was ready to kick some physical ass, and he was getting no satisfaction, as 0bama, ever careful NOT to take the bait, just enraged him further. And the scariest thing about his countenance was, as unfortunate women and children can attest to, the glued on FROZEN smile. I have worked domestic violence cases, shelters, and hotlines for years, and was born in the days when brutal men had legal backing, and their families were property, and this exact smile means one thing only and always: YOU are going to be sorry (get creamed) when we get home (later). This threat is as clear as can be to those who have lived on the receiving end of it. It haunts its victims for decades, and can never be faked or imitated. Again, I had no idea this realization was coming, yet there is no unseeing it now. So, why didn't Obama challenge him more, or make any of the types of comments that we had hoped he would, to put Romney in his place? Think for a minute, and you will realize that Romney has a wife (was she there?) and kids (who Romney called liars--IN a presidential debate!). Is he dangerous, absolutely! Even the expert moderator Lehrer is being criticized as dull-witted for allowing him to ignore the rules, be rude, and even cut him off to continue his rant. Lehrer and 0bama were in silent agreement--this guy is about to BLOW! He is irrational, does not even hear what he's saying himself, and his impatience is growing by the moment. DANGER! What happened prior to the debate, we do not know. My main thought was for his wife, "RUN away quick, ann!" How did Romney want this debate to go? I think he wanted the rush of power that psychopathic, brutal bullies feel, and that his hopes were to incite 0bama into an angry reaction, just to humiliate him to the nation. Not getting this release, however, may bode very badly for those who will not be permitted to stay out of his range. Please, review this debate and see what I'm talking about, and study it. I wonder whether the distraction that had 0bama so concerned was actually an injured ann, coming in late. There is tons of spare footage to make it appear she was actually there in one piece. Look deep! This type of person is capable of starting wars, without end. They never back down, and live for revenge.
