Substantive OWS slogan constructed, deconstructed.

::::::::

This offers what was conceived as a Greenbacker slogan/chant (directly supporting the action at The American Crisis: A Common Sense Deficit Reduction Proposal), herein rephrased to best fit the OWS movement, as I understand it.  It is thus in fact a true-money-based policy "derivative".

I deem this an appropriate mini-post in that it presents an attempt to capture substance as pithily as possible.  In particular, it must be a simple chant, yet is intended to (a) meet Wall Street's objections to occupation (it turns them back onto Wall Street), (b) amusingly yet fundamentally express the movement's motivating spirit, (c) validate the occupation as a natural, classic demonstration of civil grievances, and (d) with moral certitude cast the occupation as a  hugely-less-than-tit for tat civil response to beyond-toleration, life-wrecking, and continuing money-master populace-puppeteering provocations.

The present tense also works, but I think on balance the past tense better packs and delivers all of the above.

Greenbacker slogan:

OWS slogan:

Wall Street occupied our money!

[Ha! Ha! Ha!   Isn't it funny?
Wall Street occupies our money!]
