really! And consider Light As Air flight. I'm writing this in response to a linked article under today's (6/24) BestWeb Op-Eds titled, "Stop Flying." Flying a rock certainly does take a lot of energy. You have to effectively suspend the rock "in thin air" before you can use energy to move it forward; and just holding it up is where most of the energy goes.

On the other hand, if you have a helium balloon already in the air, all you need to do is streamline its shape so you can push it forward and slip it through the air. Try "superstreamlining" the shape and see what happens...
