According to the daddy-paid-for-his-degree in economic CiC George Bush, the ‘underlying economy is good.’
He should have added as an aside, good until he and his oil buddies wring ever last drop from it.
If this economy is good, one has to wonder what his idea of a failing economy is.
I want him to tell the 12,000 who are expected to be laid off, just how good the economy is, and how easy it will be for them to get other jobs.
I’m not sure, but 12,000 being laid off sounds like a low ball figure to me.
Considering the number of hours the stores are open, it would seem more likely that each store would have between 30 and 50 employees, which would be more like 18,000 to 30,000 lay offs.
Maybe some of them can get jobs at other Starbucks or at the Coffee Bean, which has better coffee anyway.
A Black Forest coffee. Now that good to the last drop!
