Of course the story broke last night of the pending indictment of Dick Cheney and Alberto Gonzales on charges of their involvement in the use of prison labor for profit (considered acceptable and legal) and fun (torturing prisoners, less so). The specific case involved refers to federal detention centers (ICE warehouses) managed by a private company (Vanguard) that Cheney and Gonzales have significant financial interest and connection to. This, ladies and gentlemen, is bald-faced organized crime run by alleged public servants.
This indictment doesn't become official until the judge signs the indictment on Monday. Not to waste any time, an advance team flew their 737 jet (tail number 50932) into Kelly AFB in San Antonio to perform the usual obstruction of justice hustle.
True to form, the local ClearChannel affiliate noted the story, using words like, "bizarre prosecutions," again setting the stage for the cover story that this case is just another example of prosecutorial misconduct. Always nice to have low friends in visible places with a bullhorn.
