THANK YOU Government Snoops!

I guess in some weird way it should be seen as an indication of the lack of ethic discrimination on part of the information gathering/snooping agents employed by our government here in USA.

Sites free from content that could lead any person of average intelligence to suspect ties to “jihadist terrorism", “radical Islamism” ( or any other euphemism for the official, but elusive, threats of national security) are now receiving the attention of dedicated efforts of surveillance and analysis.

This is a true statement of paranoia free from national borders or concerns of such outdated notions as domestic versus foreign.

A little-noticed anti- terrorism bill is raising fears of a new affront on activism and constitutional rights
Critics say it could herald a new government crackdown on dissident activity under the guise of fighting terrorism.

H.R. 1955: Violent Radicalization and Homegrown Terrorism Prevention Act of 2007 enacts into law efforts to:
gather, analyze, share (with other nations and among domestic national agencies of law enforcement, national security and intelligence) information about:

and (unless we are to rely solely on our political representatives assurances to the contrary)efforts to::

inform acts of prevention and suppression of :

  • · VIOLENT RADICALIZATION- The term 'violent radicalization' means the process of adopting or promoting an extremist belief system for the purpose of facilitating ideologically based violence to advance political, religious, or social change
  • · HOMEGROWN TERRORISM - The term 'homegrown terrorism' means the use, planned use, or threatened use, of force or violence by a group or individual born, raised, or based and operating primarily within the United States or any possession of the United States to intimidate or coerce the United States government, the civilian population of the United States, or any segment thereof, in furtherance of political or social objectives.
  • · IDEOLOGICALLY BASED VIOLENCE- The term ' ideologically based violence' means the use, planned use, or threatened use of force or violence by a group or individual to promote the group or individual's political, religious, or social beliefs.

It is obvious that this snuck through declaration can be used to legitimize – before or after the fact - targeting for surveillance and further reprisals, movements and websites that:

  • · Encourage civil activism - however non-violent the means – by suggesting meetings, actions and reasons for opposition
  • · Propose means of survival in face of government oppression, with implied or stated perceptions that survival might have to include use of force against agents of the government in defense of property , privacy and human rights
  • · Expose alleged lies and conspiracies - and evidence of such - by agents of the current political, legal and financial system

This could be seen as an expansion of the war on deviation from officially stated – and thus universally true and only ones allowed – alternatives for the ordinary man to exercise his or her political preferences. That means that the targets could be all those aligning for strategic and planned action out of a shared feeling that occasional voting, orderly marches subjected to police oversight and pre-approval from the law enforcement agencies, and submitting op-eds to the media does not constitute viable means to change the political situation.

By the way, the Animal Enterprise Terrosim Act (AETA), a United States federal law, designates as terrorists animal rights activists and environmental activists, sometimes called eco-terrorists, who engage in acts of "force, violence, and threats involving animal enterprises" by “penalizing damage or interference to animal enterprises or conspiring or attempting to damage or interfere with an animal enterprise” (Answers.com).

In both the case of the AETA and H.R. 1955, conspiracy – however that might have to be proven – is considered an illegal act of terrorism.
In both AETA and H.R 1955 generic and general terminology leaves ample room for ad hoc interpretation.

I summary: there are rules of the game and rulers OF the game. The latter dictates the former, and everyone not happy with playing in a rigged and unfair game can either shut up or be declared an enemy of the state for advocating a change of the rules.

The upside of this is that with counter-intelligence measures like IP trackers and state counters, it becomes an easy matter to detect surveillance.

Let’s make it something to be proud of. Any site not promoting explicitly use of aggressive violence for societal change should take measures to detect and publicly disclose surveillance efforts of governmental agencies or private entities working for the government.

Furthermore, the public disclosure should be a statement of pride!

Being targeted in this manner is a certification of the potency of site content, so lets wear it like an emblem!

I have created a template for such a certificate. Anyone can make their own and post it on the site in a clearly visible way.

SNOOP CERTIFICATE

PS. According to my retired US Military man, anyone receiving a "visit" from "5th signal" should get a certificate in gold since that means that they have made it onto the "hostile website list" along with all the "rag heads" we are told to fear DS.
