Obama is certainly smarter than his predesessor, but more straightforward?

::::::::

We really need to hand it to the Democrats. They pulled off a historic success in championing the election of our first black (well, partly) president, a triumph -- so it seemed at the time -- of American political morality over prejudice. A new dawn for the integrity of the electorate! And amongst its successes were surely to be the demise of the lies and disingenuousness of the Bush regime.

Rafe Pilgrim, after "a life largely wasted on hard honest work," found himself a jungle of turkey oak, scrub pine and giant palmettos up a dirt road running east of Crystal River, Florida, which neither school busses nor the U.S. Postal Service dare (more...)
