Today's Washington Post headline: "GOP Focuses Effort to Kill Health Bills."

Right-wing writer Bill Kristol ofth e Weekly Standard told Republicans on his blog Monday that they need to resist the temptation to work with Democrats to find a solution to our health care crisis. "This is no time to pull punches," he wrote. "Go for the kill."

On Friday, Republican Sen. Jim DeMint of South Carolina ginned up his troops with this line: "If we're able to stop Obama on this, it will be his Waterloo. It will break him."

Health care is the most important domestic issue we've faced in a generation. But the Republicans are not interested in fixing our system. They simply want to use the issue for political gain - and wound President Obama in the process.

This is no time to play games with America's health. Click here to sign our petition telling Senate Republicans to stop obstructing progress on this issue. We must reform health care now!

The comments by Kristol and DeMint prove what we already knew: Republicans have no interest in meaningful reform. Their top goals: Destroy President Obama. Regain political power. Continue Bush-era policies that have cost our country so dearly.

Well, in case they have forgotten already, I'm here to remind them: The American people are done with that style of Karl Rove politics. We sent a strong message in November. We want President Obama and the Democratic Congress to fix our health care system. It's change that's long past overdue.

Tell the obstructionists "no." Click here to sign our petition telling Senate Republicans to stop throwing up roadblocks. America needs health care reform now!

So today, we're faced with this choice: Do we fight for health care reform? Or do we allow Republican obstructionists to "go for the kill," and 20 years from now point to 2009 as the year we once again refused to do something?
