When Charlie Gibson asked Sarah Palin, what about the proximity of her state to Russia gives her insight into how to deal with that country, incredibly, she answered by just repeating the fact of Alaska's proximity - she can see them!
At first, I thought she must think we're stupid. He asked why being close to Russia mattered, and she responded with, we're really close!
But, on further reflection, I've concluded that she must not know what the word "proximity" means.
I can't wait 'til the Vice Presidential debate.
