The price of gasoline has not risen. The value of our currency has declined.

::::::::

Traditionally Americans have held foreign countries hostage to the value of the dollar. We run up massive debts to other countries then simply inflate our way out of it. This concept worked quite well when our wages rose with inflation. The dollar printing presses are running so fast now to support the wars that our currency is rapidly turning into "Monopoly money". The oil producing countries would much rather trade in Euros now. Our dollars are virtually worthless to them now. Eventually, China, India, and Japan will get the message too and then we will be percieved as a bad risk debtor nation. The only long term solution to this problem is to bring industry back home.

I am a former Ohio steelworker, retired and widowed in 2003. I am concerned about the ways in which the people we pay to protect us trashing our planet, our country, and our way of life. I now reside in a rural area of middle Tennessee.
