Restoration of the doctor/patient relationship requires first and foremost the removal of the obstacle that currently stands between them, third-party special-interests.

::::::::

I'm in total agreement with the common sense sentiment that the doctor/patient relationship needs to be restored. The most fundamental step in achieving this laudable goal, is for the two parties involved to define the nature of their relationship. Doctors and patients both strongly support a public health option.

The party with the biggest stake, the patient, supports a public option by an overwhelming degree.

Case closed, the principles have spoken, restoring the doctor/patient relationship requires a public option. There is no negotiation on this, there is no reason to let some third-party special-interest bloviator come between the patient and their doctor.
