Most intelligent adults got over Ayn Rand by their 21st birthday. Not Paul Ryan. And yes he will be attractive to such as Karl Rove, William Krystol, Fox News, and others already with their lead boots mired in lifelong Republican dementia, but -- unfortunately for them -- it will cost them any support they might have hoped for from Blacks, Hispanics, Cubans, the jobless, folks on medicare and social security, in fact most seniors, many religious persuasions, the burgeoning anti-war persuasion, and all others who can think beyond the box of extreme self-interest and slaughterous wars as the answer to gaining the financial support of weapons makers and those who lust for foreign resources.
The down side for everyone else is that this will gift the Democrat-leadbooted four more years to come to grips with the reality that such as the indentured Obama administration no longer represents the best interests of the people nor of peace, and this thereby delays the necessary remedy of galvanizing the formation of a genuine people's party.
