Polls show Republicans are still diehards who will never approve of anything a Democrat does, even though it was Republicans who made this mess. Still and all, Republicans have the audacity to be partisan and critical before Obama even gets into office.

::::::::

Expectations of Obama's performance are highly partisan. At the same time as among Democrats and independents Eighty-nine percent Democrats  and 63 percent independents approve of his work just 39 percent of Republicans expect him to be able to accomplish a "great deal" or "good amount" to improve the situation in the country (especially the economy). So Republicans remain essentially unchanged from election eve. (Source: ABC News: “Two-Thirds Approve of (Obama) Transition; Unrealistic  Expectations on Economy [are dampened since the Election]

These polls just show that Republicans are diehards who will never approve of a Democrat even though it was Republicans who made this mess and yet the Republicans have the audacity to be partisan and critical. It shows they don't really deserve to be elected ever again. If 60+ percent of independents and 80+ percent of Democrats are willing to give Obama a chance (at least he's willing to try and that’s more than any Republican would do…stop and think what McCain would have done. He would have been like deer in the headlights with Bush's team of spoilers coming over to be his cabinet to give us four more years of what we desperately need to get out of right now, which is protecting the rich and putting melamine in our pets' food and our babies' formula)

At least the fair people among us are willing to give Obama a chance...it shows that the right wing base located mostly in red states, needs to be walled off because they're out of touch with America and have no interest in our wellbeing. The right wing base is not worth trying to reach out to. It is a waste of Obama's time to be "post partisan”.  When you think of it, this may sound mean, but there  really is nothing in the South and Midwest that voted for McCain that is worth anything. They don’t have any more  of any goods or services, such as oil or anything else, that the rest of the country has except natural gas and they show as much with their politicians, their public pronouncements and their votes in elections. We in the rest of the country don’t need anything they have because we can produce it ourselves. And now they’re the ones who don’t want to give Obama a fair chance they’re not really that important and they ‘ve been wrong since the Civil War and they still are. They are regressive  reactionaries. You’d think they would get a brain. They get wiped out with continual hurricanes and sweltering heat or frozen winters. Maybe it has rotted their brains. Hence the polls show that they won’t give Obama a chance in the dogleg part of the country.

You might think I’m fanatic about the neocons but they have a history of being low down and disingenuous. It  worked for them before. They’ll be back in four years to try it again. All they have right now as their ‘luminaries’ are Sarah Palin, Mitt Romney and Rudolph Giuliani and possibly Huckabee. They will not wait four years to throw Obama under the bus and begin aiming their big mouths at him to pull him down when he is trying to implement a rescue plan for the country that was all but destroyed  by the Republicans. But just wait until Obama gets in and watch them unleash their slander and fault finding nit-picking at him. I hope to God that that the new Congress puts the Fairness Doctrine back in so that the right wing noise machine doesn’t prevail with their lock hold on the mainstream media and on hate radio. Because trust me, the right is not going to go away quietly and cooperate and behave responsibly .   As a matter of fact they are already carping and wanting details on what will be cut and what policies he will have and he’s not even in office yet. They can’t contain themselves even now, but they will certainly launch a full time effort to pull Obama down once he is in office and they don’t have to appear fair. And it will be just as he’s trying to help the country out of its trouble.  They are always in time to throw a turd in the punch bowl. So let it be known I’ve warned you. I want the best  for Obama because he’s the only one offering any help to our sinking country right now. Nobody else is offering anything.
