On the weekend edition of Lou Dobbs' show, Kitty Pilgrim repalyed Dobbs' "interview" with Paul Waldman of Media Matters. I put interview in quotes, since it was obvious that Dobbs had no intention of letting Waldman get a word in edgewise. (I was waiting for Paul to say, "Lou, let me finish a sentence!")
Dobbs was obviously angry at Media Matters' criticism of the xenophobic tone of his coverage obsessing over "illegal immigration." I found Dobbs' facial expression even more disturbing than his tirade - one of raw, teeth-baring aggression.
But I found Pilgrim's repeated set-up of the piece, where she referred to MMFA as a "Left wing advocacy group" particularly laughable. As Thom Hartmann has often said on his show, there hasn't been a serious Left wing in this country for decades.
