Barney Franks asks for a 25% reduction in Defense Spending.I came across this article in Common Dreams, and I was surprised that one of our members of Congress is thinking about taking a hatchet to the holy grail of military defense budget. I was proud to hear that someone up there in Washington has some common sense. When people are starving, they can't eat bombs. We had better start doing something with our economy more productive than making bombs and shuffling money back and forth (Wall Street). I thought I would include this article from Common Dreams.
