Rebuttal to Global Warming Conspiracy

I viewed Jesse Ventura's Conspiracy show on Global Warming, and while I do not think that individuals should be able to pay their way out of polluting, I do have some disagreements with the conclusions drawn.

First of all even if the UN panel on global warming did delete some opinions on global warming, it seems obvious that our planet is heating up. Arctic ice is melting. The seas are rising, and storms are getting nastier. We should be working together to save this planet that we live on, and it would be unwise to destroy the very thing that gives us life, which is our planet earth. Second, let's say the whole global warming is a hoax, wouldn't it behoove us to get off of Saudi Oil. We would decrease our deficits, and not be obliged to wage war in the middle east. Now the issue here is how to do it. Our polluters want to use coal, and others want to do like France did and use nukes. Still others believe that we could use wind, waste, methane from cows, and so forth for a cleaner, greener energy use.

It was concluded that the evil UN wanted to produce a one world currency. I have news for you. We already have a one world currency and that is the US dollar. The UN has suggested that an alternative currency be used at the behest of China. China has suggested using a variety of currencies, which would in essence destroy the one world currency we have now, which is the US dollar.

They suggested that the greenies were producing an all powerful bank. Again folks, we already have that. It's called the World Bank or the IMF, the international monetary fund. These two banks have worked for years to force poor countries into capitalism, and then KEEP them in debt. If the poor countries defaulted in mass they would shake the industrialized countries to the bone. They have in essence used the banking system as a sort of parasite to the poor countries to keep them poor.

Finally, the greenies are going to make obscene amounts of money including Al Gore. Well, low and behold folks we already have a group of companies that made obscene amounts of money after the Iraq war and I'm not talking about the war profiteers. I'm talking about the oil companies. They basically raised prices during Katrina and kept the prices there making record breaking amounts of money, and their increase in profits are tied directly to the Iraq war. So while you the tax payer are in debt for a stupid war, the oil companies have been allowed to make billions at your expense.

That my friends is the real conspiracy--not a bunch of mean, green, UN machines. Jesse, go back and do some research on the oil companies and profiteering during the war.

I enjoy writing about political/ economic events, and I am especially concerned about the US as a warlike nation. I would like to see this nation turn itself around from a conquering nation in both commerce and war to a nation of peace. I hope that (more...)
