Comment in hopes to start a debate, on whether or not libertarians should be allowed to participate in oped news.

::::::::

I don't understand on what basis libertarians are allowed to participate in this website? We hear them and their kind of thinking day in, and day out in the major media (which we all know is controlled by a handful of corporations with a far right agenda). I thought the point of Oped News, was to become the media (so to speak, similar to the Indymedia sites). The libertarians have their media already (WSJ, Barrons, New York Post, Washington Times, nearly all a.m. radio in the United States of America, Glenn Beck's show, I could continue).

To me they serve no constructive purpose on oped news. They are here to spread a villainous, which I don't believe it would be hyperbolic to characterize as extremist philosophy. Anyone with the slightest bit of intelligence, can understand that you don't give all society's resources to a handful of people! This is the libertarian mission! This to me, doesn't seem to be in line with what Oped News' mission is at all! Please someone! Anyone! Correct me if I'm wrong, but the libertarians really don't need to be here!

p.s. BTW, Can a card carrying Republican be active on oped news? If so what purpose does that serve?

p.p.s. I hate to be the thought police (I strongly support freedom of speech), but isn't oped news a progressive website?
