Speaking at Sacred Heart church, home of Father Mike Doyle, of the Camden 28, he was asked about the media after he basically stated that the mainstream media, the "fourth estate" had failed. "What media should we check?" someone in the audience asked. He answered, "Opednews.com" and Amy Goodman's Democracy Now. At the Our Future Now progressive conference, I had a chance to talk with staff from TheRealNews.com and they told me they routinely use OEN articles as sources and leads for their coverage.

McGovern, talking to a group of mostly Catholic church members, stated that the institutional church could not be depended upon to do the job of challenging the problems we face, that small groups of 6-8 people must gather and, working together, let spirit enter and inspire them with solutions to the challenges we and our nation face.
