Gingrich preposterously blames the recent Republican Rush-related infighting on the White House, and David Gregory nods and smiles.::::::::
It was pretty disappointing, watching David Gregory smile approvingly - without any challenge - to Newt Gingrich pinning the entire Republican Limbaugh fiasco on the White House. On Meet the Press this past Sunday, Gingrich made the case for an absolutely impotent Republican Party. Thought you heard Limbaugh repeatedly and unabashedly declare that he wanted President Obama to fail? It was all an evil Democratic plot. Thought you heard Michael Steele criticize Rush, only to apologize later? He was being controlled by the White House.
No, the fact that Rahm Emanuel correctly
observed - and was later proven right - that Republicans can't seem to criticize Rush Limbaugh without feeling compelled to later obsequiously apologize, and that this made him the leader of the Republican Party - is responsible for Republicans' behavior. Thus, Gingrich has established, that not only is that party being led by the nose by an unelected talk show host, but they cannot even act without Rahm Emanuel and the Obama White House controlling their every move. No wonder they're in the wilderness.
