OK, this is how it’s going to go.
The political party that is know and documented to have perfected the methods and techniques of the craft of effective NEGATIVE, mean spirited, vicious lies and fear oriented campaigning, along with cute, which some think clever, but devoid of any substance sound bites like “You’re no John Kennedy”, to paying enemy TERRORIST to hold American kidnapped prisoners until his inauguration day, of their ridiculously often invoked false god Ronald Reagan who shamelessly read his cue cards with such as “Mr. Gorbachev tear down that wall.” - after the fix was already in, and then take credit for the Berlin Wall being torn down, and taking undeserved credit for decades of the efforts and sacrifices of many others, and the most important reason for that wall coming down being the dissolution of the Soviet Union because the corrupt leaders of Russia had bankrupted their nation with decades of over spending on their military and control measures on their population, and the seething dissatisfaction of other countries under resource depleting strict control of the elite and corrupt leaders in Russia determined to sustain the Soviet Union to it’s bitter end, while personally collecting more of those super expensive Fabergé eggs, and on to Bush Senior’s Willy Horton ads, to Bush Junior’s Swift Boat attack ads against an honorably discharged and decorated US military veteran (even though it didn’t seem to infuriate that veteran, at that time, which some of us think was, uhm, odd, and would have been reasonably justified).
Yepee, that same political party is now, during the September ‘08 RNC and weeks to come, going to complain and whine about their Democratic Party opponents’ ads, statements and supporters being “negative” - although they, mostly, tell the truth about what the Republicans have been about and doing. The man, Lee Atwater*, who devised, developed and implemented those deceptive FEAR based methods and techniques of effective NEGATIVE campaigning for Bush Senior (well before Karl Rove), confessed, apologized and advised against doing what he had done to win, on his deathbed in a lengthy LIFE magazine article. *[“Atwater apologizes - Shortly before his death from a brain tumor, Atwater said he had converted to Catholicism, through the help of Fr. John Hardon, S.J.,[9] and, in an act of repentance, Atwater issued a number of public and written letters to individuals to whom he had been opposed during his political career, including Dukakis. That powerful confession, apology and critical counseling not only did not persuade many of the Republican politicians since then to change their ways, but rather, most of the Republican politicians have thrived on, enhanced and magnified those methods and techniques of effective NEGATIVE campaigning well beyond mere deception of Harvey Leroy “Lee” Atwater, to flat all out bold faced lying and vicious attacks against the likes of a US military hero, Max Cleland, who sacrificed his body parts, which he can’t recover or recover from in any numbers of years, and full fledged denial when confronted with the truth about what they are guilty of with serious facial expressions and gasping with words of indignation about the audacity of anyone to question and/or confront them about their criminal behavior and acts that most of us have paid dearly for, and can never be repaid for the prices we have paid and what we have lost that can not be retrieved with any measure of human punishment.
I have had enough of being reminded about John McCain’s prisoner of war sacrifices for “his country.” To put it in such crass terms as these: Who sacrificed the most Max Cleland* or John McCain? Max Cleland isn’t, and has not, constantly reminded us of his sacrifices, has a genuinely warm smile, and is not know to be a generally uptight dude who gives the impression of being about to explode. Without factoring in considering my personal sacrifices and suffering. I am an honorably discharged Vietnam Era veteran too. Seeing as Barack Obama seems to appreciate those efforts of ours who are less fortunate than him, and yesterday was the 45th anniversary of Dr. King’s defining speech for that Civil Rights Movement, on the mall in front of the Abraham Lincoln Monument. I am mentioning this one little ‘thingee’ here, which is that I was arrested at 16 years of age for sitting at a lunch counter, as a part of that Movement, before I enlisted and served honorably in the United States Navy. *[“Joseph Maxwell Cleland (born August 24, 1942) is an American politician from Georgia. How about if I remind us that “The Decider” whom McCain so respects never did any active duty time, and was AWOL from his Reserve requirements?
Whoooo weeee, the exciting announcement was just made about McCain having chosen a beautiful looking woman, Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin, to be his VP running mate. That’s sure, for some, to distract from everything else that is undesirable about electing him to be the president of the USA. YOU think? "She is exactly who this country needs to help us fight the same old Washington politics of me first and country second," McCain told supporters in Dayton. If he thinks that true, why doesn’t he switch places with her, with Governor Palin being the Republican Presidential Nominee and he as her VP? Why is he first and she second, huh?
Oh yeah, and those smiling or serious faced expressions, to slobbering and clinched jaws masking insane madness (well meaning or not), vicious win at all cost individuals, supporters and MSM facilitators will accuse some of us “disgruntled opponents” of being “angry” plus “unpatriotic.” Well, I got some “attack dog” anger for ‘em. I figured out that I have somewhat of a choice to try to be an inconspicuously quiet bystander and onlooker, or essentially a brain dead idiot with pathetically weak to lukewarm “neutral” utterances, sack of psychological and spiritual waste matter trying not to offend or hurt anyone’s feelings, or honestly out spoken with anger and dissatisfaction with the preponderance of injustice that we are all close to drowning in.
So that there is no doubt about which I choose, for anyone who can’t tell from what I’ve written – I choose to allow myself to feel and express anger, unapologetically. After all, being justifiable angry is fundamentally and substantially different from being of the insanely mad with insatiable greed and deadly control mind-set that can only lead to extinction or irretrievably undesirable habitation conditions on this planet. Heey, Jesus, The Christ is said to have gotten angry and violently over turned the tables of the money changers in their temple.
Before any of you start attacking me for my ‘extremely distasteful and disrespectfu l’ words here, tune in, any day or night, and listen to the unapologetic filthy rich top-rated Right Wing-nuts talk show hosts Rush Limbaugh and/or Bill O’Reiley (Ain’t they sweet?), and the likes of them, and then get back to me, wit’ yo dribble. After ya also review the years of “Christian” commentary broadcast regularly and continuously by the MSM, no matter how offensive, wrong, dangerous and anti-love, compassion and understanding the previous comments had been from the recently discarnate “Reverend” Jerry Falwell.
And, I absolutely refuse to accept one of their “tickets” to bury myself with ‘them’ in the extensive under ground cities that ‘they’ plan to escape to if and/or when all hell is out of any control on this Earth, as a direct result of ‘their’ decisions and actions. Anyone who wants or accepts one of those “tickets” best consider that no more than 1% of whatever number there might be in those underground cities will be in control, and there will be NO WAY OUT, to anywhere more desirable, alive as a human, after voluntarily burying yo’self down there, with ‘them.’
Even if YOU consider yourself to be one of the elite, deservedly privileged, and way smarter than the 90 to 95% of the rest of us servant class ignorant and troubling peons, YOU know for sure that YOU cannot trust the others in your peer group of the 1% elite, ‘deservedly privileged, and way smarter.’ Who is going to serve whom if the global depopulation plans down to 500,000 human’s works? Don’t count on the ‘intelligent’ advanced technology robots indefinitely serving and maintaining themselves.
John McCain with his 26 years as a US Congressman, woman VP running mate, beautiful blond and financially rich wife, daughter and feisty mother (Oh, doesn’t EVERYONE – or most people - want to be like them?) will try to convince us that he is not responsible for any, or most, of the problems created and perpetuated, predominately by the ‘other’ Republicans who have been in control for most of the last eight years, at least. Look around him and see who most of them are that he is ‘in the boat with,’ and silently check the trust factor in YOUR heart and mind. Here’s a clue: I bet most of the ones he is really ‘in the boat’ with have personal wealth of over $5,000,000.
If YOU want to and try hard enough, by any means necessary, YOU could end up ‘in the boat’ with McCain and ‘them’ - with the majority of the rest of us in a different ‘boat’ with less material wealth, but waaaay happier, or just exiting out of this incarnation with a clear conscious. Lee Atwater’s deathbed confessions and testimony were most persuasive for me. So I know there is no way I will voluntarily try to go that way.
If any harm comes to Obama, as far as I AM concerned, all bets for a possibly potential desirable future are off, especially for the corrupt ruling elites. Most of the rest of us don’t have much more to loose, anyhow, except for whatever remaining hope any of us have for the possibility of a more desirable future.
