In the past I have accurately predicted future events. I have rarely put them down in writing before. I'm sticking my neck out here a bit, and I certainly hope several of these "predictions" fail to happen. Some of them will have pretty miserable consequences for all of us. Unfortunately, with Bush still in office and apparently impervious to both criticism or advice, and also, apparently, metaphorically joined at the hip to Israel, I think that it will be difficult to avoid the worst.Here then, for what it is worth, are my predictions for 2007 and the 2008 presidential election and beyond. Some of it is based on astrology, some on psychic intuition. Keep these predictions, and see which, if any at all, happen.
Barak Obama will run for the Democratic nomination for president. He will be extremely successful at first, and generate huge excitement, but he will not win the nomination.
Hillary Clinton will also run for the nomination, and she will win. She will face Rudy Guiliani on the Republican side, who will beat John McCain.
People will be ready for a major change, yet want someone with experience of actually running things (or in the case of Hillary, being close to someone who's done the job). They will also be more open to politicians speaking their mind and not from a prepared script.
Because of Rupert Murdoch's friendship with Hillary Clinton, Fox News will either start to soften its line against her or even actually support her much to the puzzlement of pundits, Republicans and the general public. But it will have an effect on how she is perceived.
(Based on astrology), Hillary will win the presidency, but for some reason will not complete her first term. Even if I'm wrong about her winning the presidency, whoever is elected, will not complete their term in office. (The Mayan calendar predicts the end of the world in December 2012, so that might be a reason!). But actually, the inauguration chart for January 2009, has an astrological aspect that has always predicted an incomplete term in office; Roosevelt, on his fourth term, Kennedy, and Nixon on his second inaugural, all had this aspect; whoever is sworn in on January 2009 also will have it).
(Also based on astrology) Nancy Pelosi will also not complete her term as Speaker. Either illness, death or scandal will cause her not to complete her term. She was sworn in with the same aspect that leads to a lack of completion in presidential inaugurations.
Psychic predictions: In February (or maybe later) Israel, with the sanction and support of George Bush, will attack Iran. It will cause an environmental, (nuclear radiation), and humanitarian disaster for Iran, and diplomatic and political disaster for the US and Israel. Both the US and Israel will become international outcasts because of it. The consequences will be quite catastrophic.
As a result, people will turn to the euro, and the Middle East countries and maybe even Venezuela, will start to price their oil in euros instead of dollars. This will cause the dollar, and dollar denominated bonds, to collapse. Even the Chinese will move to the euro. The American economy will be near collapse, as everyone dumps American bonds and no-one will fund our debt anymore. America could go into the worst depression in its history as a result, with the government unable to pay its bills.
Apple will be one of the biggest stock market successes in 2007, as will (again) Google, and Baidu in China. By 2008 Ford will have begun to show a major recovery.
A small car company will introduce a new car that works on lithium ion batteries (like those in cellular telephones). It will have the equivalent of more than 100 miles per gallon. It will galvanize Detroit and the car company will produce the cars quite cheaply and the acceleration will be faster than any car on the road. Because of the price of oil, they will have a huge success.
There will be certain weather events this year including huge Polar and Alaska melting, which will make everyone realize that Global Warming is not only real, but that it's too late to turn the clock back. There will be some areas of the East coast that will start to become inundated by the sea because of rising water levels.
It will be the hottest year ever in recorded history. There will be many deaths in Europe and America due to the intense heat. Europe will experience extreme drought. Extreme wildfires will be seen in both America and Europe.
The troop surge in Iraq will be a total failure. Iraq will descend into utter chaos. (This will also kill Sen. John McCain's chances of winning the Republican nomination for president). Killings will escalate, with nobody able to stop it, and the calls for withdrawal may be so strong that George Bush might be driven from office, and Congress may vote to impeach him over it. The predicted attack on Iran by Israel will be the catalyst for the total breakdown. It will become the bloodiest civil war since Rwanda, and nothing will seem to be able to stop it. American casualties will continue to escalate, and people will talk about George Bush (even Republicans) as being unquestionably the worst, and most unpopular, president in American history.
It will be revealed that the depleted uranium from weapons and shells used by America and Great Britain in their war in Iraq, has polluted northern Europe and England, carried on the wind. More people will become impotent and ill because of it and it will also be revealed to be causing the precipitous rise in diabetes throughout the world. The revelation will cause anger in Europe and a realization that worldwide pollution is inescapable and affects everyone.
There will be proof that Osama bin Laden is dead.
There will be a major terrorist incident in the United States, involving poison gas. It will kill thousands of people in New York and Washington. (I sincerely hope this will not happen, but I think the recent "smell" in New York was a "dry run" for it.)
Russia will become even more autocratic. The British investigators investigating the Litvinyenko poisoning will conclude that Vladimir Putin and the Russian Secret Service was behind it. They will do this because they will identify the source of the polonium 210. Europe will become even more nervous of Russia as it exerts its power and cuts off natural gas both to Europe and its neighbors. However, in 2008 when Putin has to stand down he will, and the new president will be a surprising reformer as the Russians become disillusioned with autocracy (again).
Hamas will recognize Israel. There will also be civil war in the Palestinian territories following early elections called by Abbas.
France will elect a woman president in 2007. Segolene Royal will become the first woman president of the French Republic. She will be so popular with people that she will be able to push through reforms that nobody else could possibly do. She will give people a new sense of optimism in France.
Oil, because of the Iran attack, will go to $100 a barrel. Gold will soar as the dollar weakens.
The housing market which will seem to recover by mid year, will actually collapse drastically in 2007-08. Foreclosures will be astronomical. The highest since the Great Depression. It will become difficult for people to borrow money for a house without a large deposit, as mortgage regulations will be tightened up. The demand for the highest luxury housing and yachts however, will still be high, as more and more people in the world become "super-rich". The gap between the middle class and the rich in America will grow even larger and will effect the presidential election race.
The prices for contemporary art at auction will continue to rise to even more astronomical levels.
Ireland will continue to be the most successful economy in Western Europe in 2007, with a 5-6% annual growth rate.
The calls for an American universal health insurance will grow louder, and may even be implemented in some form by 2008.
There will be an incident that will be witnessed by so many people and recorded on video that will provide irrefutable proof of UFOs.
It will shock the nation, and especially skeptics, who will be unable to explain it.
An arrest warrant will be issued against George Bush in Europe, as well as Donald Rumsfeld, by a judge in Spain, for war crimes and violations of international human rights. When Bush leaves office he will be unable to travel to many countries because of the arrest warrant. More revelations will come out about torture and renditions, that will cause a huge scandal in Europe.
Before the end of the year, James Baker will criticize George Bush for ignoring his committee's advice on Iraq.
