Terrorists have carried out a big bomb blast in Peshawar, the capital of North West Frontier Province killing several people. More than 100 people have been injured in the bomb blast occured in front of a cinima hall.::::::::
I was sitting in the Peshawar Press Club when I heard voice of a big bomb blast. According to initial reports, more than 12 people have been killed in the blast occured in front of a cinema hall situated some one kilometer away from Peshawar Press Club. There are rumours that terrorists have entered the city in large number and may be carrying out more attacks. At the moment terror and fear are riegning supreme.
Reports from Swat and other regions said that a large number of people have been killed in the fighting. At the moment there is complete confusion as the people in Peshawar have also started running for their lives. The situation is very tense. I am also feeling the terror, therefore, I am making an appeal here to please pray for the peace.
A car bomb exploded on Cinema Road in Khyber Bazaar area of Peshawar, killing six people and injuring 75 others, police said on Friday.
The dead and injured were rushed to the city’s hospitals where emergency was declared.
The hospitals’ administration confirmed that more than 50 injured were brought to the hospital, some of them in very critical condition.
According to the CCPO Peshawar, more than 75 people sustained injuries in the blast.
The cinema building nearby shops were badly damaged in the blast. Several cars and other vehicles parked on the road were also damaged.
The blast was very loud and was heard in many parts of the provincial capital.
