It is time that every American take a stand for REAL CHANGE, not the lip service that every canadate pukes from thier mouth.

::::::::

The Wall Street melt down and subsequent taxpayer bail out of private companies I hope has shown the American public just how broken the checks and balances have become.  These checks and balances that failed to protect your retirement accounts and now will tax your children for generations to come are a legacy we can lay claim to.  But why did these checks and balances fail?  Discretion.

See the SEC and others used Discretion to turn a blind eye to their huge financial contributors knowing full well that a worst case scenario would be a bailed out by the suckers, excuse me taxpayers of America.  See Wall Street does not make bad plans; they plan for every contingent, including this meltdown.

This is also the case with Pennsylvania Attorney General Thomas Corbett.

This month I had to take Pennsylvania Attorney General Thomas Corbett to federal court because the top law enforcement officer in Pennsylvania is turning a blind eye to documented testimony of criminal activity that was presented to his office.  In the court room Pennsylvania Attorney General Thomas Corbett’s representative did not deny that a crime was committed, but said that he had the “Discretion” to prosecute or not to.  The reason he will not prosecute in my opinion, the criminal is a common pleas judge and officers of the court.

Definition Discretion:  the power or right to decide or act according to one's own judgment; freedom of judgment or choice

Those in a position of power are most often able to exercise discretion as to how they will apply or exercise that power.In the criminal justice system, police, prosecutors, judges, and the jury are often able to exercise a degree of discretion in deciding who will be subject to criminal penalties and how they will be punished. For example, the police officer may decide whom to formally arrest for an offense. For a traffic violation, a police officer may simply issue a warning. A prosecutor may choose to pursue the same or different charges against the person a police officer has arrested. Discretion gives the prosecutor the power to dismiss a case against an arrestee based on factors such as the probability of conviction, the nature of the offense, the characteristics of the offender, and availability of adequate civil remedies. Plea bargaining also plays a major role in determining charges.

Based on Pennsylvania Attorney General Thomas Corbett official position and use of Discretion, I find it well within my Discretion as a citizen of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania to use Discretion not to pay my taxes, and so should every other citizen.  I plan to test that Discretion because as it would seem that I am not getting the services that I pay taxes for and only get the lip service that I don’t wish to pay for, I will keep my money. I would suggest that every citizen of Pennsylvania do the same.

While I have always been a fan of Governor Rendell, even as a republican, it disappoints me that leadership within the state is non existent.  When this country desperately needs people willing to do their job that they are paid to do with tax payer dollars, we once again are faced with lazy people hogtied by politics using their Discretion to decide if they should do the job they were hired to do.  But it is much more that just a failure of the system.

This is a deliberate plan of round robin denial formulated by years of marketing research to get the average person to “give up” their complaint and therefore avoid any responsibility for ones actions.  We have all done this path when we call the phone company to get an answer and then transferred from department to department to resolve a 2 minute issue. Is it any wonder that business is failing in this country with this type of treatment?  Is it any wonder that our Government failed when Katrina hit and “Brownie” was doing such a great job?  Is it any surprise that Pennsylvania Attorney General Thomas Corbett uses Discretion not to investigate one of his buddies?  What is my answer to all of this?

Simple, Governor Rendell can kiss my backside if he wants my tax dollars to pay Pennsylvania Attorney General Thomas Corbett or any other worthless employee of his administration.  When I get the services paid for, I will gladly hand over my tax dollars; otherwise they will sit in an escrow account.  I would suggest that every Pennsylvania citizen do the same.  If you do not like it Governor Rendell, please feel free to use that same Judge to rob a bank account once again as she did before.  Pennsylvania Attorney General Thomas Corbett will use his Discretion to let you off the hook as well.

In the most important election in this nation’s history, as the wrong decision and wrong message to our elected officials will leave America in economic flames, factual information on the changes that MUST be part of the new direction must be addressed if this nation is to survive.  The only other Discretion we have is to burn the country to the ground and start over and in that light, maybe John McCain and Sarah should win this election and America can get started rebuilding by the end of 2009 when the smoke clears.
